    Convenção de Estocolmo sobre poluentes orgânicos persistentes: impactos ambientais, sociais e econômicos associados

    This master dissertation aims to study the development reasons of an international binding treaty on control of Persistent Organic Pollutants (Convention on POPs), and also to analyze the effectiveness of the Convention in Brazil, including the possibility of civil society to participate in this process, the formulation of the Convention implementation plan and the ability of environmental agencies at acting in this process. In order to allow more detailed analysis of the researched material, as one of the evaluation parameters of the associated environmental, economic and social impacts it was chosen a case study, which was in the end analyzed with the DPSIR model, aiming to understand the complexities and their positive and negative feedback on preventing the resolution of socio-economic and environmental associated impact. The knowledge fragmentation interferes directly in decision-making processes, allowing mankind to develop various poisonous chemicals and to introduce them in its daily lives. In the last six decades, mankind has experienced economic and population growth unprecedented in its history, with a new emerging global society that promotes the spread of new and dangerous environmental contaminants. Structural and governance improvements within the government are essential as well as the efforts to replace the treatment process, whose results are the same dangerous chemical compounds that were intended to treat. Finally, the complex thinking proved itself important, regarding, in particular, the need for effective, transcendent and necessary theory in the process of implementation of the Convention on POPs.

    This work is characterized as an unfolding of my academic experience in Environment and Water Resources, when in contact with geopaint I became interested in experiencing the production of this resource. Given its easy handling, the idea arose to enable and encourage the population to participate in the creation of a useful product that people can develop according to their taste, without the need for financial investment, facilitating access to the less favored class and helping to minimize impacts. generated into the environment by conventional paints. To this end, I developed the technique from the selection and collection of soil to the production of the paint and presentation of the results.

    Raízes Sustentáveis: Um projeto para a Igreja Presbiteriana de São Miguel Paulista

    Este artigo apresenta um projeto de educação socioambiental realizado na Igreja Presbiteriana localizada em São Miguel Paulista, um bairro periférico da cidade de São Paulo. O objetivo do projeto é conscientizar a comunidade sobre a gestão de resíduos sólidos e promover ações práticas nesse sentido. Ele inclui encontros abertos para diálogos sobre preservação ambiental, criação de um ponto de coleta de resíduos especiais, prática de coleta seletiva, brechó, feira de troca de itens sustentáveis, debates, oficinas e exibição de documentários. A metodologia envolve a aprovação formal do projeto, aplicação de questionários e análise dos resultados. O projeto busca não apenas conscientizar, mas também incentivar práticas sustentáveis na comunidade, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento de um bairro mais responsável e engajado com a preservação do meio ambiente, seguindo as diretrizes da Política Nacional de Resíduos Sólidos e promovendo a inclusão e o desenvolvimento sustentável na periferia.
