    This monograph intents to comprehend built space in the city of São Paulo in the first half of the twentieth century, through the Technical Office F. P. Ramos de Azevedo. As strategy for the research, we had focused our efforts in the analysis of the owner and director of this bureau, the engineer-architect Ramos de Azevedo. Thus, the objective of the research is to understand the spatial and domestic alliances that this professional maintained at the time of his professional career, specifically with the engineer Ernesto Dias de Castro, his student, business partner and son-in-law. The biographical structure allowed us to discover other facets of urban history and architecture, and, as consequence, to contribute, with this study, to the understanding of trade and politics related to the construction sector in São Paulo. The monograph shows how the alliances between Castro and Ramos Azevedo took the city as a business in that period.
