    The writing of this monograph had as its general objective to discuss the creation of everyday events by the media, since the construction of historical facts seems to be, today, its monopoly, having as theoretical and methodological foundation for this discussion the production of historical knowledge about time. gift. The specific objective of this work, therefore, was to investigate, through a historical analysis, the interpretations made and published by the São Paulo newspapers Folha de São Paulo and O Estado de São Paulo on terrorism during the 1991 Gulf War. , based on this, that ten years before the September 11, 2001 attacks, the reproduction and dissemination of fear, threat and terrorist attacks had already been carried out by this press as ways of preserving the capitalist system, transforming an everyday fact into a spectacular phenomenon.
