    Nível de Estresse Pré-competitivo em Integrantes de uma Banda Marcial

    The aim of this study was to analyze the pre competitive stress level of marching band members from the city Sorocaba, SP, Brazil. The sample consisted of 85 subjects of both genders, who responded to the List of Pre-Competitive Stress Symptoms (LSSPCI). We analyzed the difference of stress in three different aspects: gender, age groups existing within the marching band and the functions performed by the musician's members. The computation of the scale was performed using the scores mean obtained by LSSPCI. We conducted an analysis of variance Kruskal-Wallis (KW) to compare the pre-competitive stress level. The analysis showed a significant difference between groups, functions performed, either by the choreography body or by the tubes.
