    Entre o jazz e a bossa (1950-1970): as relações sociopolíticas entre os movimentos musicais da bossa nova e do jazz

    At the turn of the 1950s to the 1960s of the twentieth century, two musical genres originating from different countries, staged a strong interpenetration, bossa nova and jazz. This approach represented the meeting between two long and influential music in American and Brazilian traditions. Such articulation and socio-political and historical implications that allowed or promoted this meeting are included in the total output of both genders during those years, in albums, recordings, compositions, concerts and testimonials of their artists. The rapprochement between these two genres, bossa nova and jazz, and historical developments that were involved in this meeting, are the objects of study of this research.
