The focus of the research is the artwork From Mud a Blade (2004 - 2009), accessed through the meanings and interpreted concepts of previous work of the artist himself and by aspects of the neo-baroque, targeting a baroque reading not as historicized category in art history, but as a transhistorical cultural paradigm, capable of causing effects of instability and mutation in the forms. From the concepts developed by Walter Moser, main theorist who writes about the current neo-baroque, the work of Matthew Barney, and interpreted, illustrates aspects that allow to approach the notion of body in all of his work on this perspective.
