- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)“Aos meninos do Brasil”: a estética literária para crianças em Histórias da Velha Totônia (1936), de José Lins do Rego(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2020-02-12) Ebizero, Amanda Topic [UNIFESP]; Oliveira, Fernando Rodrigues De [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São PauloIn this Master’s dissertation presentes research results connected to the Integrated Research Project “Brazilian children's and young literature revisited: themes, forms, purposes and historical, cultural and esthetic value of literary production in the 19th and 20th centuries”, coordinated by Professor Dr. Fernando Rodrigues de Oliveira. In order to contribute to the production of a history of children's and young literature and to understand how the literary esthetic for children are configured in books produced throughout the twentieth century in Brazil, is used as a corpus of analysis the book Histórias da velha Totônia, by José Lins do Rego (1901-1957), published by José Olympio Editora (RJ) in 1936. Through the historical approach, specifically Cultural History, with a focus on documentary and bibliographical research, the work was developed through procedures for locating, retrieving, assembling, selecting, ordering and analyzing documentary sources, using the concept of “textual configuration”. This analysis made it possible to conclude that José Lins do Rego, in writing Histórias da velha Totônia, in dialogue with the child and school models in force at the time, presented a book in line with the ideal of schooling centered on the assumption of the construction of the future of nation, based on the republican perspective of the time, moreover, did not neglect the elaborate work of construction of the text, which gives it a literary esthetic value to be recognized. In this sense, without completely disconnecting from the children's literature model of the early 20th century, whose main purpose was centered on the objective of school instruction, José Lins do Rego presented in Histórias da velha Totônia characteristics that make it possible to rethink aspects of the history of literature brazilian children's, in order to understand the relationship between instruction/esthetics in children's literature books of the early 20th century.

Esses gestos são realizados no cotidiano dos sujeitos, consciente ou inconscientemente, levando-os à construção de sentido para o que é lido por eles. Esta pesquisa defende, portanto, a tese de que a leitura de um conjunto de livros infantis aprovados no Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático Literário (2018) favorece desdobramentos discursivos, a partir de Gestos de Leitura visando a uma formação do leitor crítico-reflexivo. O objetivo geral deste estudo é compreender os desdobramentos discursivos em livros de Literatura Infantil do Programa Nacional do Livro e do Material Didático (PNLD Literário - 2018) para a Educação Infantil, a partir de Gestos de Leitura. Para a realização, foram levantados, então, os seguintes questionamentos: a) Como os livros literários que fazem parte do PNLD Literário 2018 potencializam a promoção de Gestos de Leitura? b) De que maneira os livros convidam e estimulam os leitores a extrapolarem os limites do texto? c) Em que medida, pelos desdobramentos discursivos, os sujeitos leitores refletem sobre si mesmos, os outros e o mundo em que vivem? Sustentamos os questionamentos nas seguintes hipóteses: a) Pela leitura das múltiplas linguagens e da formação discursiva do sujeito-leitor, há diferentes construções de sentidos para um mesmo texto, o que corrobora a promoção de Gestos de Leitura. b) O gênero literário interfere na produção de sentidos dos Gestos de Leitura realizados em obras de literatura infantil; c) A compreensão da história e a promoção de Gestos de Leitura independe do tema no qual a obra foi classificada pelo Programa. Assim, formulados o objetivo geral, as questões-problema e a hipótese, empreendemos uma discussão teórica sobre os desdobramentos discursivos que perpassam o Gesto de Leitura da pesquisadora pautando-nos em Pêcheux (2014a; 2014b; 2014c; 2015), Maingueneau (2007; 2008; 2015), além dos diálogos com os documentos oficiais para a Educação Básica. Para empreender os conceitos apresentados, realizamos a análise de 06 (seis) obras de literatura infantil, evidenciando as possibilidades de Gestos de leitura a serem realizados de modo a refletir sobre identidade e interação com os outros e com o mundo em que o leitor se faz presente. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de abordagem mista: qualitativa e quantitativa (bibliográfica e documental). Pelas análises apresentadas, confirma-se a hipótese de que o uso de múltiplas linguagens associado à formação discursiva do sujeito-leitor favorece os Gestos de Leitura nos livros de Literatura Infantil.

Para isso, realizou-se a análise do material didático do sistema ETAPA, utilizado em escola da rede privada localizada na região central de Guarulhos, São Paulo. Tratou-se de pesquisa documental e bibliográfica, tendo como procedimentos: leitura de bibliografia especializada sobre o tema; coleta dos materiais didáticos (apostilas); levantamento dos tipos de atividades voltadas à aprendizagem da leitura literária; análise e problematização dos resultados dos modos como o ensino da literatura figura nesse material. Mediante o desenvolvimento da pesquisa, constatou-se que o material, em muitas atividades assemelha-se bastante às cartilhas de alfabetização comumente usadas no Brasil no final século XX, entendendo-se por leitura apenas a oralização. Porém, ao mesmo tempo ele trás atividades que utilizam da literatura sem esvaziar as práticas de sentido e transformá-las em mais uma atividade mecânica e escolarizada.

In their construction, presents, discusses and lists: contributions of historical and cultural aspects of psychology, emphasizing ideas of Vygotsky and some of his Brazilian commentators on human development as a historical process and culturally mediated social interaction as the locus of this development and mediation related to the central role assigned to language, here understood as constitutive activity of the subjects, the contributions of studies by researchers from the fields of history, linguistics and education, emphasizing the construction of the ideas of children, school and literature as well as literature child in relation with education. The research was conducted in a school for child education in the municipal school in Guarulhos (SP), from conducting semi-structured interviews with six teachers stage II and observation records of the activities of reading literary texts for children, these groups developed along with teachers. In the construction of the data highlights the understanding that conditions and ways of carrying out the practices of reading beyond the school context, the action of the school, the teachers and children, being under the contingency of social factors, for federal or municipal public policies of education, ways reflecting the historical and cultural significance in our society, literature and its uses.

The book Livro das Crianças was utilized in public schools of São Paulo, and the magazine had the Kindergarden children as recipients. The study of Zalina Rolim’s work concentrates in the understanding of how the childhood was represented in two specific items for the scholar use. For the review of childhood representation on those works, it was considered the historical context of São Paulo in the nineteenth century, once the book and the magazine were written in the final years of that century. The investigation regarding the personal path, as well as the work study of Zalina, destined to the school corroborates to the understanding of a childhood representation presented in children literature of the final years of nineteenth century. In the book Livro das Crianças the study was centered on the model that the school provided in that time: to civilize and educate. In the pedagogic work, the studies took place after the relevance Zalina gave during the narrations in the language classes, even as the toys and games, activities fulfilled through nursery rhymes and songs. The context the works were placed in refers to a national policy engaged in the children education; the intention consisted in removing the citizen from the ignorance he had been for decades. Therefore, by collating such work, the aim was to understand the childhood representation in the social and scholar context, considering the children a cultural being, likely to changes that occur over history. Based on the studies and reviews of the works we can understand that the pedagogic structure of Zalina’s work refers to the full development of the child that, if well educated, will become the ideal human being of the nation. The book is part of a literature that had the duty of civilize and educate the children to practice well the Brazilian citizen role, and the magazine was part of a context that inserted the small child in the school to look after his development.
