Methods: The medium flow of the first-morning urine from 20 women with IC and 20 healthy women (without urinary complaint) was collection and processed to obtain a sample filtrate. From this, the metabolites were extracted through protein precipitation method, followed by metabolites target analysis with Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography - Mass Spectrometry (UPLC-MS). Quantification of targeted metabolites was performed based on external calibrations curve of analytical standards and the data were evaluated by non-parametric statistical tests. Results: Urinary concentrations of malic acid, kynurenic acid, succinic acid, uric acid, creatinine and leucine differ for women with IC/PBS compared to women without urinary complaints, being a higher urinary uric acid concentration for symptomatic women. Conclusion: Women with IC/PBS have in urine a difference of metabolites correlated with energetic metabolism which may be candidates for biomarkers for this syndrome.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosAvaliação da proteômica urinária de mulheres com cistite intersticial(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2018-10-16) Moitinho, Reinaldo Bras [UNIFESP]; Almeida, Fernando Gonçalves de [UNIFESP] ; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Introduction And Objectives: Interstitial Cystitis - Painful Bladder Syndrome (Ic/Pbs) Can Be Categorized By Causing Chronic Pain, Pressure, Discomfort Related To The Bladder, Following Polaciuria And Voiding Urgency. Considered An Undefined Etiology (Probably Multifactorial) That Has Its Late Diagnosis And Treatment Definition. Thus, This Study Has Analyzed The Protein Profile Of Women"S Urine Samples With And Without Ic/Pbs, Aiming To Establish The Difference Between The Urine Protein Profile Of Regular Women And Women With Ic/Pbs, In Order To Identify The Possible Protein Biomarkers In The Urine Of The Patients Which Help In The Diagnosis And The In The Determination Of The Disease"S Phytopathology. Method: This Study Includes 34 Women From 18 To 65 Years Old, Who Have Established, In Phase 1, The Control Group (N=5) And The Ic/Pbs Group (N=5), After That, On Phase 2, The Groups Were Organized In Control Group (N=16), An Ic/Pbs Group " Serious (N=8) And An Ic/Pbs Group " Tenuous/Moderate (N=9).
