- ItemSomente MetadadadosA inclusão escolar de alunos com Síndrome de Down: um estudo da produção acadêmica sobre o tema (1996-2010)(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2011) Silva, Luciana Aparecida Marques da [UNIFESP]; Carvalho, Maria de Fátima; http://lattes.cnpq.br/1875338693729537; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)This paper aims to raise from the available database of thesis and papers from CAPES, researches done at the Brazilian universities scope from 1996 to 2010 about the process of school inclusion of students with Down Syndrome, and has the objective of knowing and discussing how this theme is dealt in the academic production, it means, discussing how the school inclusion of this students is approached, the difficulties, challenges and the possibilities that are more mentioned on papers about this theme. It was selected and analyzed fifty eight summaries that were based on the following aspects: the year of publication, the level of the research (master’s or doctor’s degree), the institutes where the researches were done, the themes discussed and the results. The analysis of these summaries gave me the opportunity to see that there are a lot of critics to the ways of how the process of inclusion has been done in Brazil, this process has had difficulties and controversies, however, it also shows the possibilities of concreting this, its benefits, points out the importance of these kids’ right to go to school be permanent and as a result it promotes a change of the ways of education for these students. The research is based on the contributions of authors that talk about this theme into the special education area and also Vygotski historical-cultural psychology contributions that focus on the development and education of unable children with a social perspective
