Based on the requirements of permit-license documents of the circus troupes, one intends to have a reflection about the relationship between circus and other forms of the art expression in the same period, as theatre and mainly, the movie theater. One seeks to analyze these tensions and how the circus adapted its spectacle to the new present conjecture necessity. It is also proposed to think about the usage of the urban space by the circus in a moment of urban reforms in Sao Paulo, by using the Geographic Information System (GIS) as a way to understand how the relationship among the many forms of occupation, interaction, exchange, tensions and dialogues that were put in question. So, the usage of the geotechnologies allows to present to other researchers not only the possibility of bringing the circus as an object of study to the historiographical discussion, but also to think about the possibilities of analyzing a historical source in the construction of thematic maps, articulating the time and space.
