    MOSES I. FINLEY: Uma nova abordagem dos estudos sobre a economia antiga da Grécia e Roma

    The goal of this paper, through analysis of Moses I. Finley’s book “The Ancient Economy”, and his academic production ( letters, articles, chapters of books),is to verify some of the innovations of Finley’s methodology applied to the studies of Greek and Roman’s ancient economy. Such innovations became a paradigm to the observation of the old world’s economy after the second half of the 20th century. Thus subject os this paper, for one side, is to analyze the context’s influence that made Finley an exceptional historian on his field and also discuss the impact and contributions of the “Finlynianism”‘s discoveries to history.
