Desses, 88,4%(46/52) haviam sido submetidos à angiografia 3D, 7,7% (4/52) àaortografia e 1,9% (1/52) a ambas.
- ItemEmbargoAntecedente de enurese noturna em adolescentes com enxaqueca(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2010-07-28) Lin, Jaime [UNIFESP]; Vilanova, Luiz Celso Pereira [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Purpose: to evaluate the antecedent of nocturnal enuresis in a large consecutive series of adolescents with episodic migraine and chronic migraine as compared to controls , as well as to assess its relationship with several clinical characteristics, including age of migraine onset, frequency, and duration of migraine attacks and the pain intensity. Methods: it was a cross-section study with a semi-structured questionnaire applied to adolescents with episodic and chronic migraine and controls. The diagnosis of migraine was performed according to the international headache society criteria and the diagnosis of nocturnal enuresis was performed according to the world health organization – Classification of Mental and Behavioral Disorders (ICD-10). Results: a total of 187 subjects were referred to evaluation. From this total, 36 were excluded. The remaining 151 subjects were in accordance with the inclusion criteria. Among them, 50 (33%) had episodic migraine, 50 (33%) had chronic migraine and 751(34%) were control subjects. There was a strong correlation between the clinical history of nocturnal enuresis and the diagnosis of migraine. Among the patients with the antecedent of nocturnal enuresis and the diagnosis of migraine, no differences regarding the age of migraine onset, the frequency or duration of migraine attacks were found. However, it was found that the patients with the antecedent of nocturnal enuresis reported a higher pain intensity during migraine attacks. Conclusions: Our study demonstrates a significant relationship between nocturnal enuresis and migraine. Nocturnal enuresis antecedent being consistently higher among adolescents with migraine and a significantly higher age of urinary control achievement suggest pathophysiological linkage between the two conditions.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Avaliação da qualidade de vida em adolescentes com enxaqueca(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2011-02-21) Paschoal, Joelma Karin Sagica Fernandes [UNIFESP]; Rodrigues, Marcelo Masruha [UNIFESP]; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6440065539616739; http://lattes.cnpq.br/3713366128361415; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Purpose: To assess the quality of life of adolescents with episodic migraine and chronic, and investigate its relation with the same comorbidities, including sleep disorders, depression and anxiety. Methods: To determine the degree of impact on quality of life of individuals through the use of specific questionnaires to assess quality of life and comorbidities. The diagnosis of headache was established according to the diagnostic criteria of International Headache Society. The statistical analysis was performed comparing the migraine diagnosis, comorbidities and controls, correlating with the quality of life of individuals. Results: 120 subjects were evaluated. Of this total, 13 were excluded. The 107 remaining subjects were in accordance with the criteria for inclusion in the study. Among them, 50 (46%) patients had episodic migraine and 57 (53%) from chronic migraine. Also were interviewed 51 healthy adolescents considered as normal controls. It was observed that adolescents suffering from migraine have a lower quality of life compared to controls. The adolescents with chronic migraine showed significantly lower mean scores in quality of life compared with patients with episodic and higher rates of comorbidities such as depression and trait anxiety. Conclusions: The results point to a negative impact of migraine on quality of life of the patient. The observation of chronic migraine patients reporting the lower scores for quality of life, besides the higher rates of depression and anxiety, is in good agreement with previous studies in the literature. Research to identify precisely the degree of impairment in physical, mental and social life of patients with migraine are fundamental to understanding and developing therapeutic strategies aimed at reducing negative this link.
