Methods: Prospective Evaluation Of 16 Female Subjects, Age Range 45 To 65 Years Old, Presenting With Photodamaged Facial Skin And Dermatochalasis. All Subjects Underwent Unilateral Periorbital Fractional Co2 Laser Resurfacing (Smartxide Co2 Laser, Deka) Treatment 30 Days Prior To Upper Blepharoplasty. Laterality Was Randomically Assigned. Quantification Of Collagen Types I And Iii Of The Treated And Untreated Palpebral Specimens Removed At Blepharoplasty Was Performed Using Histochemical Analysis And Picrosirius Red Staining. The Degree Of Periorbital Rhytidosis Was Classified Using The Kotlus Scoring System, By Two Surgeons Who Analyzed Pre And Post-Procedure Photographic Assessments.
