Inserted In A Process Of Restructuring Of The Catholic Church In The Subcontinent Throughout The Xx Century And Appropriating The Theoretical Repertoire Of The Social Doctrine Of The Church, Debates On Liberation Founded The Formulation Of Liberation Theology And Catalyzed Controversies About The Political And Social Role Of The Church, In A Context Marked By Discussions About Poverty, Underdevelopment And Dependency. These Debates, Within The Framework Of The Conferences Analyzed And Compared Here, Have Mobilized Three Concept
