    Violence Is A Phenomenon That Affects Both Sexes, But Has A Special Incidence On Women, Black And Poor. Brazil Is In 5th Place In Relation To 83 Countries. Between 2003 And 2013 There Was A 21% Increase In The Number Of Women Murdered, Representing 13 Femicides Per Day. Violence Against Women Is A Phenomenon That Must Be Seen As Related To The Economic, Social And Cultural Conditions Of A Society, Including The Patriarchal Characteristics Of Our Culture, Which Establish Hierarchical Relationships Between Genders, Where Men Assume Dominant Social Roles And More Valued, With An Expressive Exercise Of Power Over Women. Objective: To Understand The Perceptions And Meanings Attributed To The Phenomenon Of Domestic Violence Against Women, Based On The Practices Of The Community Health Agents (Acs) In Actions In High Social Vulnerability Territory, In The Baixada Santista.
