The research hypothesized that due to their higher education in pedagogy, daycare educators have developed sufficient critical capacity to realize that their work causes their illness due to chronic low back pain. The method was based on qualitative research, using group interviews as a data collection technique. In all, there were three meetings, with seven nursery school educators participating in the first, second and third educators having six. The age range was 32 to 59 years. The interviews took place in a health promotion unit for workers in the city hall where the research took place. The first meeting lasted 90 minutes, the second 49 minutes and the third 25 minutes. For the analysis of the data obtained in the group interviews, the categorization technique was used. Through the analysis of the data collected, it was found that the work performed by daycare educators is socially devalued and this fact is directly related to their precariousness and their illness due to chronic low back pain. It was concluded that all the researched educators perceived that their work causes their illness due to chronic low back pain, regardless of the level of education, which they had, however the workers with higher education in pedagogy, had greater ability to question the problem, no conceiving your profession as natural. Finally, the construction of the proposal for the product of this research was discussed together with the workers and will make it possible to put into practice actions and interventions with the purpose of improving the working conditions of daycare teachers in the municipality in question.
