    A Questão da Morte Bela nos Filmes: Mar Adentro e Você Não Conhece Jack

    The purpose of this study is analyzing the conception the “beautiful death”. This is a polemic topic that has created many controversies, and has involved, in this debate many philosophic and social concepts. The concepts about death have change with over time. For many people, it is a controversial phenomenon, because, at one side there are people that think it is the end of all; in the other side, is who see the end of material life, these admit continuity in spiritual plan. There are many men, even, see death like a biologic phenomenon, between the others phases of the life. In specific event of sociology, this is accepted and studded like social phenomenon. To study this death thematic like a social problem, we´ll consult main these authors: Philippe Ariès (2003), Norbert Elias (2001) and Rachel Aisengart Menezes (2004). The movies had analyzed were: Mar Adentro (2004) and Do You Know Jack (2010), these are two works show and develop the conception of ‘beautiful death’ in the cinema and were based on real facts adaptations.
