Sexuality for this populaction is a public health problem, however this theme is scare in scientific means. Objective: To investigate the sexual function of adolescents using contraception. Method: Observational study, exploratory, analytical and cross, recruited in a public family planning clinic. Adolescents with using contraceptive methods and having sexual activity with the same partner from the last month were investigated and compared with young adults We used the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) that assessing areas like desire, excitation, lubrification, orgasm and dyspareunia. Results: It was selected 199 patients, being 128 adolescents and 71 young adults. According to data from FSFI, the total score was 26.5 (±5.9), being 26.6 (±5.7) for adolescentes and 27.6 (±6.2) for young adults. The satisfaction domain was statistically significant result (p=0.009), with score 5.1 (±1.1) to adolescents and 5.2 (±1.5) to young adults. While the orgasm domain showed lower value (4.0±1.5).As the frequency of sexual dysfunction in adolescentes, 38.3% had suggested values for these symptoms and 86.7% committed desire score. It was not observed influence of contraceptive methods on sexual function. Conclusion: It was found impairment of sexual function in a minority of teenagers, and the satisfaction showed difference between the groups. Contraception doesn´t influence the evaluation of sexual function.
