    Museu Republicano Convenção de Itu: a construção do museu histórico em sua primeira fase (1921-1945)

    On this paper the object of study is the Republican Museum Itu Convention. Through the bibliography reconstructed the formation of the first Brazilian history museum dedicated to Republica, we analyze the formation of the collection in order to understand their expography. Its chronological scope ranges from the purchase of the "big house of Ituana Convention", on 29 December 1921 the State Museum, until the end of the managemente of Alfonso d'Escragnolle Taunay, its first director, in 1946.
