Feminicídio na América Latina: uma análise de Brasil, México e Peru

Abstract

O foco central desta pesquisa é analisar, de forma comparada, as conjunturas que circundam o fenômeno do feminicídio na América Latina, mais especificamente no Brasil, México e Peru, por meio de revisão bibliográfica concernente ao tema. Feminicídio ou femicídio é o assassinato de mulheres pela simples condição de serem mulheres. A região que concentra as maiores taxas deste delito, segundo a ONU Mulheres, é a América Latina. Esse estudo irá investigar, mais especificamente, questões referentes a essa violência no Brasil, México e Peru, abordando particularidades do cometimento do feminicídio em cada um dos países, contribuindo, assim, para o estudo da temática de gênero nas Relações Internacionais. Para conhecer a realidade desses três países, foi realizada análise de documentos referentes às políticas de enfrentamento à violência baseada no gênero e à aderência desses países a instrumentos internacionais de proteção dos direitos das mulheres. O estudo procederá a uma comparação entre Brasil, México e Peru, a partir das dinâmicas específicas do feminicídio e das conjunturas de cada país. Com foco na temática de Direito Internacional e de Direitos Humanos, este trabalho pretende contribuir para a área por ser um estudo comparativo, de revisão bibliográfica e documental, que busca sistematizar a bibliografia existente sobre o assunto. Como referenciais normativos, o presente trabalho aborda a Convenção de Belém do Pará e outros instrumentos internacionais de proteção dos direitos das mulheres.

The main objective of this research is to analyze, in a comparative way, the conjunctures that surround the perpetration of femicides in Latin America, more specifically in Brazil, Mexico and Peru, addressing particularities that surround the crime of femicide in each of the countries, through a bibliographic review concerning the theme. Femicide is the murder of women for the simple condition of being a woman. According to UN Women, the region that concentrates the highest rates of this crime is Latin America. The study will make a comparison between Brazil, Mexico, and Peru, based on the specific dynamics of femicide and the circumstances of each country. Focusing on the theme of International Law and Human Rights, this work intends to contribute to the study of gender in the area of International Relations. This is a comparative study of bibliographic and documental review, which seeks to systematize the existing bibliography on the subject. As such, the scientific methodology of this monographic work employs an analysis of primary and secondary documents, that will be carried out regarding the policies against gender-based violence and the adherence of these countries to international instruments for the protection of women's rights. As normative references, this work addresses the Convention of Belém do Pará and other international instruments for the protection of women's rights.
