Research carried out by the National Institute of Science and Technology in Public Communication of Science and Technology (INCT-CPCT) shows that 93% of young people between 15 and 24 years old do not know Brazilian scientists, other studies show lower numbers when asked if they know any female scientists woman. In a notorious way, the historical baggage of the female presence in the scientific scene was and still is marked by invisibility and gender inequality, a factor that combines with the distance that young people have from national science. Certainly, the dissemination, understanding and search for scientific knowledge were shaped according to the political and social perspectives of the active public of that particular society, however, it is necessary to expand the dissemination and popularization of research carried out in Brazil for young people, especially in the school environment. For this course conclusion work, carrying out a bibliographical review supported the assembly of biographical materials of 09 Brazilian researchers, using the main contributions and lines of research of such scientists to prepare teaching materials that cover themes focused on education basics. Such research and materials constitute the repository covered by the extension project “Science and Brazilian scientists at school” conducted by teachers and students from UNIFESP Campus Diadema (website: https://cienciaecientistas.unifesp.br/). This interconnection aims to support the work of educators to promote outstanding scientific education aligned with the relevance of national scientific production.
