Análise da vulnerabilidade socioambiental do gênero feminino nas regiões brasileiras

Abstract

A problemática da vulnerabilidade no Brasil se faz presente em diversas áreas, sejam elas ambientais, sociais, econômicas ou de gênero. A vulnerabilidade socioambiental envolve e impacta na questão de gênero, sendo mais uma característica da sociedade desigual que caracteriza a sociedade brasileira. Nesse contexto, cabe investigar se a vulnerabilidade socioambiental em relação ao gênero feminino se expressa de maneira diferente nas regiões brasileiras. Assim, este trabalho buscou caracterizar e comparar a vulnerabilidade socioambiental do gênero feminino nas cinco regiões brasileiras: Norte, Nordeste, Sul, Sudeste e Centro-Oeste. Para isso, foram feitas análises de dados quantitativos de fontes secundárias com base nos dados censitários do Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística (IBGE), contendo variáveis nas abordagens de desigualdade de gênero e vulnerabilidade socioambiental, produzidos no período 2000-2019. O estudo apontou a predominância do gênero feminino frente a variáveis que compõem a vulnerabilidade socioambiental nas regiões brasileiras, com piores índices nas regiões Norte e Nordeste e melhores índices nas regiões Sudeste e Sul.

The problem of vulnerability in Brazil is present in several areas, whether environmental, social, economic or gender. Socio-environmental vulnerability involves and impacts on the gender issue, being yet another evidence of the unequal society that characterizes Brazilian society. In this context, it is worth investigating whether socio-environmental vulnerability in relation to the female gender is expressed differently in Brazilian regions. Therefore, this work sought to characterize and compare the socio-environmental vulnerability of the female gender in the five Brazilian regions: North, Northeast, South, Southeast and Midwest. For this, the following were carried out: i) a descriptive bibliographical review of the mentioned themes; and ii) documentary research based on census data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), containing variables in approaches to gender inequality and socio- environmental vulnerability, produced in the period 2000-2019.
