Libras na ciência: pesquisa de sinais para o ensino de imunologia

Abstract

A imunologia é a área da ciência que estuda o nosso sistema imunológico, focando na resposta que o nosso organismo tem em relação às ameaças externas. O ensino de imunologia é apresentado aos estudantes durante os anos finais do ensino fundamental e no ensino médio, geralmente em tópicos relacionados à saúde, que visam que o estudante adquira conhecimentos sobre as doenças e suas formas de prevenção. Quando esse tema é levado para o ensino de Surdos, nota-se que o acesso às informações se torna mais difícil, visto que eles compreendem o mundo de uma forma diferente e são poucos os locais que disponibilizam acessibilidade por meio de intérpretes, janelas com intérpretes, ou que tenham projetos voltados diretamente para a comunidade surda. Como forma de contribuir, esse projeto tem como objetivo pesquisar sinais de imunologia no contexto educacional. A pesquisa foi realizada utilizando a metodologia bibliográfica e documental exploratória com base nas estratégias utilizadas por Zajac, Freitas e Moraes (2021), de forma que primeiramente foram pesquisados os termos utilizados no ensino de imunologia, para assim iniciar a pesquisa dos sinais em fontes reconhecidas academicamente. Com os resultados obtidos percebe-se que apesar dos diversos trabalhos que vêm sendo realizados para documentar a Libras, ainda existe uma dificuldade em encontrar, de forma prática, os sinais relacionados com o ensino de imunologia. Os dados obtidos com esse trabalho poderão fortalecer o Repositório de Sinais da Libras da Unifesp, projeto que visa a pesquisa da Libras e a criação de materiais didáticos, contribuindo também para o processo de revitalização da Libras.

Immunology is the area of science that studies our immune system, focusing on our body's response to external threats. The teaching of immunology is presented to students during the final years of elementary and high school, usually on topics related to health, which aim at the student to acquire knowledge about diseases and their forms of prevention. When this theme is taken to the teaching of the deaf students, it is noted that access to information becomes more difficult, since they understand the world in a different way and there are few places that provide accessibility through interpreters, windows with interpreters, or who have projects aimed directly at the deaf community. As a way to contribute, this project aims to research signs of immunology in the educational context. The research was carried out using the exploratory bibliographical and documentary methodology based on the strategies used by Zajac, Freitas and Moraes (2021), so that the terms used in the teaching of immunology were first researched, in order to start the research of signs in sources credible and academically recognized. With the results obtained, it can be seen that despite the various works that have been carried out to document Libras, there is still a difficulty in finding, in a practical way, the signs related to the teaching of immunology. The data obtained from this work will be able to strengthen Unifesp's Libras Signal Repository, a project aimed at researching Libras and creating didactic materials, also contributing to the revitalization process of Libras.
