Comportamento é a parte exteriorizada, as
profissional, pessoal e social; e (2) Dissonância Cognitiva.
Attitudes can change under different situations. They are connected to individual internal processes and dictate the evaluation and judgment about the world and its interconnections. They are composed of a complex internal system, which encompasses thoughts, feelings, emotions, intentions and behavior. Behavior is the externalized part, the actions themselves, which can be influenced by individual issues, abilities, attitudes, family members, and the environment in which one lives. When there is a disparity between attitudes and behavior, an internal mental process that can cause discomfort, called cognitive dissonance, is set in motion. One usually seeks to mitigate this discomfort or tries to ignore it. The main objective of the present research was to investigate attitudes, behaviors, and cognitive dissonance seen in the movie "Dark Waters" (2019). It was used for the theoretical foundation of this TCC, the concepts of attitude, behavior and cognitive dissonance. This is a case study, using the strategy of indirect observational studies in film analysis. From the observations protocol were extracted, as exposed in Chapter 4, the descriptions of scenes, duration, filmic languages, main sources of observations and their analysis and consequent discussions of the results. The data analysis and discussions of the results were based on two categories: (1) Attitudes and Behaviors, consisting of three subcategories, in the professional, personal, and social spheres; and (2) Cognitive Dissonance. The results obtained in this study pointed out that this film helped portray the corporate world of the legal profession, the complexities of work relationships, personal relationships, and even social relationships, facilitating an understanding of how attitudes, behaviors, and cognitive dissonance merge and shape the ways that individuals, think, act, and live at work, in their homes, and in their community, in a manner that is illustrative and close to reality. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the dissemination of observational studies in film analysis and the teaching-learning process in the field of Management.
