Representações sociais de professores a respeito de religiões de matriz afro-brasileira: uma reflexão sobre o racismo e questões étnico-raciais

Abstract

A escola é um espaço não apenas de transmissão de conteúdo programático exclusivamente, mas sim um espaço que oportuniza o estabelecimento de múltiplas relações em que o estudante é estimulado a perceber o outro, aprendendo a acolher e valorizar as diferenças. Todavia a escola também reproduz o mundo social, nesse sentido, apesar de ser lugar privilegiado e rico para a discussão a respeito de questões sobre preconceito ou de racismo, essa oportunidade nem sempre se concretiza em projetos pedagógicos eficazes. Dentro dessa perspectiva, este trabalho teve como objetivo investigar as representações sociais de professores a respeito das religiões de matriz afro-brasileira com a finalidade de compreender e refletir em como essas representações podem impactar na qualidade das discussões a respeito das questões étnico-raciais em sala de aula. Sendo que foi observado que há uma relutância em se discutir a questão quando esta inclui a questão religiosa de origem africana ou afro-brasileira, não permitindo a compreensão profunda e real dessas religiões na diáspora como símbolos de resistência cultural e reconstituição familiar e, como consequência, a falta de compreensão da identidade negra que foi formada no Brasil no período colonial. Propõe-se aqui a abordagem dessas religiões para romper preconceitos e com a finalidade de integrar o sagrado na história e na cultura africana, que persistiu por meio religioso.

School is a space not only for transmission of programmatic content exclusively, it‘s also a space that foment multiple relationships in which the student is stimulated to perceive the other, learning how accept and value the differences. However, school also reproduces social world, in spite of being a privileged and rich place for discussion of prejudice or racism, this opportunity is not always perform in effective pedagogical projects. In this perspective, this work aims to investigate the social representations of teachers about afrobrazilian religions in order to understand and reflect on how these representations can impact on the quality of the discussions about ethnicracial issues in the classroom. It was noted that there is a reluctance to discuss ethnicracial issues when it includes African religions, not allowing the underlying and real understanding of these religions as symbols of cultural resistance and family reconstitution and, as a consequence, the incomprehension of the black identity that was formed in Brazil in the colonial period. This word proposes the approach of these religions to disrupt prejudices and with the goal of integrating the sacred in the history and the African culture that persisted by means of religious.
