Resumo
A Matemática porta uma gama de conhecimentos que podem ser explorados. Neste
trabalho houve a intenção de fazer uma pesquisa no campo da Geometria, em especial envolvendo o tema de polígonos nos livros didáticos e alguns documentos norteadores do currículo brasileiro. Este estudo teve o objetivo de analisar o tema dos polígonos nos livros didáticos do 6º ano do Ensino Fundamental. A justificativa do tema veio pela minha experiência em unidades curriculares referentes a estágios e práticas pedagógicas. A base do referencial teórico foi apoiada em diversos autores, como Pimentel (2014) e Rezende (2015) e entre outros, que com seus trabalhos foram
fundamentais na construção desta pesquisa, e os documentos norteadores da educação básica, sendo os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais e a Base Nacional Comum Curricular, formam os pilares do trabalho. A pesquisa documental qualitativa foi escolhida para a metodologia desta pesquisa, pela natural conexão com objetivo da pesquisa em analisar os livros do sexto ano do ensino fundamental. Ao analisarmos três materiais de diferentes coleções obtivemos resultados semelhantes, levando em consideração os critérios elaborados com base no referencial teórico. Verificamos o conteúdo dos livros nas páginas referentes ao tema, e partindo de uma análise minuciosa, pontuamos algumas considerações que podem facilitar ou dificultar o aprendizado dos estudantes.
Mathematics carries a range of knowledge that can be explored. In this work, the intention was to do research in the field of Geometry, especially involving the topic of polygons in textbooks and some guiding documents of the Brazilian curriculum. This study aimed to analyze the theme of polygons in the textbooks of the 6th year of elementary school. The justification of the theme came from my experience in curricular units regarding internships and pedagogical practices. The basis of the theoretical framework was supported by several authors, such as Pimentel (2014) and Rezende (2015) and among others, who with their work were fundamental in the construction of this research, and the guiding documents of basic education, being the National Curriculum Parameters and the Common National Curricular Base, form the pillars of the work. Qualitative documentary research was chosen for the methodology of this research, due to the natural connection with the research objective in analyzing the books of the sixth year of elementary school. When analyzing three materials from different collections, we obtained similar results, taking into account the criteria developed based on the theoretical framework. We checked the content of the books on the pages related to the theme, and starting from a thorough analysis, we point out some considerations that can facilitate or hinder students' learning.
