A Iniciativa Cinturão e Rota na América Latina

Abstract

Essa pesquisa busca analisar a Iniciativa Cinturão e Rota na América Latina, com foco na inserção da China na região à luz dessa iniciativa. Para tal, primeiramente a iniciativa em si e a política externa chinesa serão contextualizadas, e dado isso, será discorrido como ela tem se apresentado na região latino-americana, com a análise de casos, projetos, obras acadêmicas e documentos relacionados. Essa pesquisa tem a hipótese de que a Iniciativa Cinturão e Rota traz uma atualização importante para as relações entre China e América Latina, revitalizando antigos projetos, investimentos e, também, trazendo novos mecanismos de cooperação. Foi utilizado um método de abordagem hipotético-dedutivo e uma investigação qualitativa para análise dos dados a serem coletados, começando por uma investigação documental e bibliográfica para descrever a Iniciativa na região, e partindo para uma análise mais ampla de suas implicações e ramificações para os atores envolvidos.

This research seeks to analyze the Belt and Road Initiative in Latin America, focusing on the insertion of China in the region in the light of this initiative. To this end, first the initiative itself and Chinese foreign policy will be contextualized, and given this, it will be discussed how it has been presented in the Latin American region, with the analysis of cases, projects, academic works and related documents. This research has the hypothesis that the Belt and Road Initiative brings an important update to the relations between China and Latin America, revitalizing old projects, investments and, also, bringing new cooperation mechanisms. A hypothetical-deductive approach method and a qualitative investigation was used to analyze the data to be collected, starting with a documentary and bibliographic investigation to describe the Initiative in the region, and starting with a broader analysis of its implications and ramifications for the actors involved.
