Percutaneous Laser Disc Decompression (Pldd) Is A Procedure To Reduce Intradiscal Pression Of Herniated Intervertebral Disks, That Is Raising In Medical Arsenal. In This Procedure, A Cannula With Laser Diode Emission Is Introduced In The Herniated Disk With The Patient Under Local Anesthesia, And The Laser Emission Vaporizes The Nucleus Pulposus, Reducing Compression Of Adjacent Dural Sac And Nerve Roots. As A Minimally Invasive Procedure, Recovery Is Fast And Usually It Is Performed In Day-Hospital Regimen, Reducing, Thus, The Final Costs. However, Pldd Brings Less Decompression As Long As It Does Not Remove Mechanically The Herniated Disk. A Valid Way To Evaluate This Decompression Is By Measuring The Cross-Sectional Area Of Dural Sac In The Level Of The Herniated Disk. This Study Evaluates And Compares Mri Images Of Patients Who Underwent Pldd During The Year Of 2017 For Its Cross-Sectional Area Of Dural Sac And Comparing Pre And Post Operatory Data. Every Patient Who Underwent This Procedure In 2017 And H A Descompressão Discal Percutânea A Laser (Pldd) É Um Procedimento Para Reduzir A Pressão Intradiscal De Discos Intervertebrais Herniados Ou Protusos, Que Está Em Ascensão No Arsenal Médico. Neste Procedimento, Uma Cânula Com Emissor De Laser De Diodo É Introduzida No Interior Do Disco Herniado, Com O Paciente Sob Anestesia Local, E A Emissão De Energia A Laser Vaporiza O Núcleo Pulposo Reduzindo A Compressão Do Saco Dural E Das Raízes Adjacentes. Por Se Tratar De Procedimento Minimamente Invasivo, A Recuperação É Rápida E Os Pacientes Usualmente Tem Alta Hospitalar No Mesmo Dia, Reduzindo, Portanto, Os Custos De Internação. Entretanto, Por Não Retirar Mecanicamente O Disco Intervertebral Acometido, O Pldd Promove Menor Descompressão Que A Cirurgia Aberta, Em Que Há A Exérese Do Núcleo Pulposo. Uma Das Formas De Se Avaliar Tal Descompressão É Através Da Área De Secção Transversa Do Saco Dural Na Altura Do Disco Herniado. O Estudo Buscou Avaliar E Comparar Os Exames De Ressonância Magnética Dos Pacientes Subme
