Introdução: Apesar de todo o avanço que o futebol feminino vem apresentando e do
surgimento de novas ligas e competições nos últimos anos, pouco foi estudado e
documentado sobre o futebol feminino quanto à prevalência, tipos e mecanismos de
lesão, e tais dados são importantes para a criação e implementação de programas
preventivos especializados na atleta de futebol feminino. Objetivo: O objetivo deste
trabalho foi realizar um estudo epidemiológico sobre a prevalência de lesões em
atletas do gênero feminino, na modalidade futebol, identificando os mecanismos e as
características dessas lesões. Metodologia: Foi realizada uma análise das fichas de
avaliação das atletas de futebol feminino da Associação Desportiva do Guarujá,
participantes dos Jogos Regionais entre os anos de 2004 e 2009. A análise dos
dados foi feita utilizado o processo de mineração de dados. Resultados: Sessenta e
nove fichas foram avaliadas e 84 lesões foram identificadas, sendo que 57,1%
dessas lesões ocorreram por contato direto e 47,6% das lesões foram contusões. O
local mais acometido foi o joelho (26,1%) e 66,6% das lesões ocorreram durante a
competição. A lesão mais comum foi contusão no joelho. Conclusão: A maioria das
lesões ocorreu por contato direto (57,1%) e o diagnóstico patológico mais comum foi
contusão (47,6%). O local mais acometido foi o joelho (26,1%) e pelo menos dois
terços das lesões ocorreram durante a competição. O diagnóstico mais comum foi

Introduction: Despite all the progress the female football has been showing and the arising of new leagues and competitions, in the past years, there wasn't many studies or documents about female's football prevail, kinds and mechanisms of lesion, and those facts are important to create and implement specialized prevention programs to female's football athlete. Goal: The goal in this work was performing an epidemiological study about the prevail of lesions in female athlete's kind, in football's modality, identifying the mechanisms and the characteristics of this lesions. Methodology: It was made an analysis based on female athlete's evaluation paper from Associação Desportiva do Guartujá, participants of the Regional Games among the years of 2004 and 2009. The analysis of the date was made using the data mining process. Results: sixty nine papers were analysed and 84 lesions were identified, (57,1%) of this lesions occurred due direct physical contact and (47,6%) of this lesions were bruises. The body part most affected was the knee (26,1%) and 66,6%) of this lesions occurred during the competition. The most common lesion was the knee bruise. Conclusion: The most of the lesions ocurs due direct physical contact and the most common pathological diagnosis was bruises. The body part that was most affected was the knee and at least two thirds of the lesions occurred during a competition. The most common diagnosis was the knee bruise
