Imagens trans: as relações de transexuais com suas fotografias de infância

Abstract

This paper offers a comprehension regarding the ties that transsexual persons have with their childhood pictures. In an attempt to address the way that each of them see and portray their own image of the past, the ethnographic research sought, at first, to obtain narratives about their life paths and their relationships with the photographs. In the second part of the research, the photo itself was inquired as interlocutor of the work through interventions in the portraits that could bring forth the association established with it, extracting, hence, as much as it could to aid in the understanding of this complex correlation between people and imagery.

Este trabalho busca propor uma compreensão a respeito das relações que transexuais estabelecem com suas fotos de infância. Em uma tentativa de abordar a maneira pela qual cada um/a deles/as enxerga e entende sua própria imagem do passado, a pesquisa etnográfica procurou, em primeiro lugar, obter narrativas sobre suas trajetórias de vidas e suas relações com as fotografias. Na segunda parte da pesquisa, a própria foto foi investigada como interlocutora do trabalho através de intervenções nas fotografias que procuram tornar visível a relação estabelecida com elas, extraindo, assim, o máximo possível para ajudar no entendimento desta complexa correlação entre pessoas e imagens
