- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Avaliação de impacto da capacitação no departamento de oftalmologia e ciências visuais da UNIFESP: um estudo de caso(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2016-10-31) Santos, Maria Jose Conceição dos [UNIFESP]; Scarpi, Marinho Jorge [UNIFESP]; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4849663856118153; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4503021025416133; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)The aim of this study was to investigate and map the impact of training activities and training with the needs raised by the Federal University of São Paulo. The research method was focused on investigating the perception of the servers on the offered courses. In this sense the case study, it was through applying descriptive questionnaire, quantitative, semi-structured with 22 closed multiple choice questions, applied to the population and sample of 20 servers, of both sexes and all education levels, classes D and E and various functions that make up the framework of the Career Plan of Positions Technical and administrative Education, crowded in the Academic Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at UNIFESP. Method - The research instrument was limited to a population survey study, servers who performed or were conducting training and / or training courses in the period 2012-2015 or nearing completion. The survey was conducted in the workplace, in the period 12-24 March 2016. The results were based on analysis of the survey responses, extracted documentary research site and page of the University, Dean of Personnel Management, Department of Development and Personnel Management, Training Committee, Campus Training Subcommittee São Paulo and Supervision Internal Commission of Career Plan of Positions Technical and administrative Education - UNIFESP. Most respondents in this class and, higher level of formal education in the institution over 20 years and female, have over the training requirement of the position in the institution. The degree of satisfaction with the effectiveness of the Training Program and Impact of Training Action, observed the responses of technicians and managers that the program does not meet or meets very little to individual and institutional needs. Conclusion - It was observed in this case study, after analysis, the training program sometimes meets the individual and institutional needs, perhaps for lack of an assessment tool impact of actions taken. The perception of the servers as the courses offered at the institution is dissatisfaction and demotivation, understanding that although more than ten of the conquest of Career Plan - PCCTAE, little has evolved as the management strategies to address the dysfunctions of training. You can see that the development is not in line with the National Plan for Professional Development (PNDP), Institutional Development Plan (IDP), Development Plan members Career (CIDP) and Multi-Year Plan (PPA).
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Guia de boas práticas para departamento hospitalar e ambulatorial de oftalmologia(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2016-12-21) Traverso, Maria Rossana Almeida [UNIFESP]; Rodrigues, Eduardo Buchele [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)This project was conceived in order to develop a good practice guide directed to the Department of Ophthalmology, which aims to facilitate the access to the good practice information that involve all procedures used in hospitals and clinics, correlating them with the current regulations. Sectors of the Department of Ophthalmology were considered, focusing on procedures regulated by Rules of the Federal, State and / or Municipal to then critically analyze and interpret the regulatory rules, consisting of laws, decrees, resolutions, guidelines and ordinances relevant to the department of ophthalmology and medical staff involved. Regulated procedures were described by preparing the Good Practice Guide for Hospital and Clinical Department of Ophthalmology and distributed in 8 chapters, which correspond to different categories of procedures adopted in the hospital and clinical department of ophthalmology. At a later stage, through the analysis of the Good Practice Guide for Hospital and Clinical Department of Ophthalmology, it was elaborated a checklist to be filled by doctors and/or professionals working in the hospital and / or clinical Department of Ophthalmology as a tool to help them in the control of the compliance with applicable rules. Evaluating the activities carried out in hospitals and clinical ophthalmology departments, correlating them with regulatory issues and good practice, a total of 17 Resolutions, 6 Ordinances, 2 Laws, 1 Decree, 1 Procedure, 1 Script, 1 Informative and 3 guides were identified, which were used as a reference for obtaining the information necessary for the preparation of the Good Practice Guide for Hospital and Clinical Department of Ophthalmology. Through the guide to good practice for hospital and clinical department of ophthalmology, the access to information necessary to ensure the quality and safety of services becomes easier.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosInvestigação de novos corantes para cromovitrectomia: biocompatibilidade pré-clínica de trisodium, orangell e methyl violet(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2013-10-30) Lima, Rodrigo Arantes de Souza [UNIFESP]; Farah, Ana Luisa Hofling de Lima Farah [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Purpose: To investigate the retinal toxicity by Electroretinography (ERG) and fundoscopy after intravitreal injection of the biological stains in two concentrations: Trisodium (0.50 g/L and 1.00 g/L), Orangell (0.25 g/L and 1.00 g/L) and Methyl Violet(1.00 g/L and 0.50 g/L). Methods: Nineteen New-Zealand-Albinos rabbits were assigned in six groups (n = 3 in each group except for the group 5 n = 4). The animals in group 1 received Trisodium (8-Hydroxypyrene-1,3,6-Trisulfonic Acid Trisodium) in the dose of 0.50 g/L and group 2 received 1.00 g/L. Group 3 received Orangell in the dose of 0.25 g/L and group 4 received 1.00 g/L. Group 5 received Methyl Violet in the dose of 1.00 g/L and group 6 received 0.50 g/L. A volume of 0,1 mL of dye was injected in the right eyes, whereas the left eyes received the same volume of balanced salt solution (BSS) as control. ERG recordings were performed at baseline and seven days after intravitreal injection. Ephios handheld system (Ephiós AB, Rejmyre, Sweden), ERG-jet and skin electrodes were used. Scotopic and fotopic curves were measured. Amplitude of waves was obtained by transferred data to software Mjolner v1.3:0.5. The responses at one week after injection were compared with baseline levels. A decrease in the post-injection amplitude of more than 66% was considered remarkable. Results: At clinical examination by indirect ophthalmoscopy seven days after dye injection, all eyes were negative for cataract, hemorrhage, retinal detachment, and intraocular opacities. Amplitude analysis of minimal scotopic b-wave (ROD), maximum (MAX) scotopic a- and b-wave, photopic single flash cone b-wave (SFC) and photopic 30 Hz flicker b-wave (FLI) showed no significant reduction in either dye injected or control eyes. Descriptive comparison between dyes showed that main amplitude decreasing, occurred in the Methyl Violet groups (5 and 6) in both scotopic an photopic recordings. One rabbit in group 5 (Methyl Violet 1.00g/L) was found dead seven days after dye injection. No other adverse effects were observed in our study. Conclusions: Trisodium, Orangell and Methyl Violet can be applied in future studies in order to prove the capacity to stain preretinal membranes and vitreous without toxicity. The three dyes did not induce significant ERG amplitude reduction in this preliminary experimental research. Further histopathological analysis may corroborate ERG amplitude analysis. Trisodium, Orangell and Methyl Violet may be promising vital dyes for ocular surgery.

The model facilitates the learning process and contributes to the training of physicians adequately prepared to diagnose problems that can lead to blindness, allowing rapid referral of patients to specialized services. Here we discuss some basic aspects of the human eye optics and direct ophthalmoscope as well as its use.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosPunção estromal anterior versus transplante de membrana amniótica para tratamento da dor em ceratopatia bolhosa(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2014-12-30) Paris, Fabiana dos Santos [UNIFESP]; Sato, Elcio Hideo Sato [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Bullous keratopathy is a corneal endothelial disorder and an important cause of corneal transplantation. The definitive treatment for bullous keratopathy is the endothelial or penetrating corneal keratoplasty, whose access can be difficult in many regions of the planet. Moreover, patients with no visual potential can experience severe chronic ocular pain. By means of a randomized clinical trial, we verified a decrease in pain frequency, duration, and intensity in a group of patients under anterior stromal puncture, and in a group of patients under amniotic membrane transplantation. Corneal central thickness, analyzed by ultrasound biomicroscopy, increased in both groups, but without correlation between pain intensity and this variable. Presence of interface fluid was a particular feature found in patients under amniotic membrane transplantation. Utilizing impression cytology, squamous metaplasia was detected in all patients studied, and every patient with presence of goblet cells, squamous metaplasia, was grade 1. Correlation between neovascularization and presence of goblet cells was not observed. Thus, we demonstrate that both anterior stromal puncture and amniotic membrane transplantation treatments are effective in relieving pain in bullous keratopathy patients. The magnitude of corneal central thickness does not interfere in pain intensity
