It's a qualitative research, with descriptive and exploratory character. The study was accomplished in a medium-sized hospital in Marilia-SP. The data were collected by a semi-structured interview with the nurses who work on the hospital institution in the nurse function, of both genders, who agreed with the research objective and signed the Free and Informed Consent Term. The interviews were recorded, transcribed and analyzed using the content analysis technique, thematic modality. The study is in consonance with the ethical principles of research and had an authorization granted by the Ethics Committee on Research of the Federal University of São Paulo, by CAAE: 41473814.3.3001.5496 and number of the opinion: 992.076. When the respondents defined 'preceptor', they attributed characteristics instead of defining them. The data show that the preceptor nurses must equip themselves with vast technical and scientific knowledge to prepare to be a formator of other professionals in nursing, however, there's a need for specific capacity to act in education, due to the variety of roles that the teacher must execute: facilitator of students learning, planner of courses, advisor of individuals or groups, producer of educational material, evaluator of learning and model of professional behavior. The nurse preceptor should be an example of professional, responsible, patient and base their actions on respect for the students' individuality, with the finality to promote the articulation between teaching, service and learning. From the analysis and categorization of the interviews, a matrix with competences was built to map the profile of preceptor nurses who work in admission training. The definition of the assignments of nurse preceptor may contribute to the permanent education of the professionals who are in the working world and weren't formed based on the National Curriculum Guidelines, in order to qualify them for the resolutivity of current demands and to the improvement of the quality of care in health. In front of this scenario, the challenge of health institutions is to choose professionals or empower them to exercise preceptory of newly hired nurses, adjusting the nursing assistance to the real needs of users.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)"Mas a vida é real e de viés": o exercício da preceptoria e o processo de educação permanente no PET-Saúde/GraduaSUS de Santos, São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2019-09-16) Correa, Elaine Rocha [UNIFESP]; Frutuoso, Maria Fernanda Petroli [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)The Education Program of Working for Health (PET-Health) / GraduaSUS 2016-2017 consisted of a front of efforts of the Municipal Health Department (SMS) of Santos and the Federal University of São Paulo, Baixada Santista campus (UNIFESP / BS), in the discussion of health education and teaching-service integration, focusing on maternal-infant mortality (MMI). Unprecedented, this edition collaborated with the municipalities of Itanhaém, Santos and São Vicente, as well as students / teachers of the Physical Education, Nutrition, Psychology, Social Work and Occupational Therapy courses of UNIFESP and Medicine from the Centro Universitário Lusíada, consisted of three cycles of eight months each, which surrounded the three municipalities. This dissertation aimed to systematize and discuss the experience of exercise of preceptorship and the process of Permanent Education in Health (EPS) at PET- Health / GraduaSUS in Santos / SP. This is a qualitative and retrospective study whose data production came from three records: PET Activity Record, maintained by the researcher / coordinator of PET-Santos, with linear records of project development; field diary, about the research process and experiences in the master's degree; Report on Preceptors Awareness Workshops, a synthesis document of the awareness workshops with eight preceptors, from different training areas, who participated in the final cycle of PET-Santos. The analyzes were based on the notion of EPS in motion. The data from this investigation agree with the literature on the practice of health preceptorship regarding the positive points such as the contact with students, the approach of teachers in the field and the remuneration of workers and the negative points, such as the absence of teachers in the practice setting, students with little interest, lack of service infrastructure, poor recognition of the role of preceptor as part of the job, and late payment of scholarships. The EPS strategies were configured as a process of building encounters moments with professionals, to a certain extent against hegemonic to the specific focus of training prioritized by SMS. In the first cycle, there was a certain invisibility of the actions produced in the services, which gave rise to the doubts and insecurities of the preceptors in conducting the activities with the students, in the absence of teacher’s support. In the second cycle, the insertion of a monthly meeting of preceptors allowed the construction of listening moments and discussion of intervention possibilities. Although the idea of instrumentalization for the exercise of preceptorship still prevailed, it culminated in the proposition of working groups with all PET actors to discuss and systematize themes relevant to the MMI. In the last cycle, the workshops indicated a breakthrough in proposing a more dynamic and reflective periodic space for dialogue on preceptorship, especially regarding the understanding of services and routines, with the guarantee of meaningful activities for students. This experience points to EPS present in many PET action spaces, based on the path and encounter of many actors and events that occurred in the breaches and often unrecognized or without visibility in the challenging daily work of health. Formal and periodic spaces of dialogue have allowed them to raise questions about preceptorship and professional practices.

It’s a qualitative research, with descriptive and exploratory character. The study was accomplished in a university hospital in the city of Manaus - AM. The data were collected by means of documental analysis, half-structured interview and application of attitudinal instrument Likert type. The population was composed for preceptors and residents. The data collection was divided in two stages. In the first stage, interview with 10 preceptors of the program was accomplished. The interviews were recorded, transcribing and the data analysed by means of the technique of content analysis, thematic modality. By means of the analysis of the interviews, it was possible to know to the light of the preceptors, the meaning of an ideal preceptorship. Four axles drivers had organized the process of the content analysis: the relevance of the preceptorship for the process of training in health; the preceptorship as pedagogical activity and the ideal preceptor; the permanent education in health – EPS and the improvement of the preceptorship; the preceptorship and the theoretical joint/practice. The perceptions harvested by means of the instrument of the Likert type next to these preceptors increased of the participation of the residents in its first and according to year had pointed with respect to a assertiveness in the drawing of the Program. The study is in consonance with the ethical principles of research and had an authorization granted by the Ethics Committee on Research of the Federal University of São Paulo, by CAAE: 43331215.0.0000.5505. Therefore, it is believed that the study has brought new and relevant information considered and highlighted by preceptors and residents: adequate theoretical construction and practice developed as a qualifying element for the training process from the needs presented by the residents; the encouragement of a critical and reflective attitude about the care provided by them; the defense of the determinants of health and the biological and social determinants of disease; encouraging the development of networking an integral perspective of care, and the option for multiprofessional and collaborative work as a way to interprofissionalidade in line with the recommendations in the Pedagogical Political Project of the Multidisciplinary Residency in Health and the Coordination of Multidisciplinary Residency.

However, it is quite common that health professionals, not just physical therapists, assume the preceptorship due to the need for the service and act in the role for personal fulfillment. The lack of prior specific training makes the preceptor act empirically, in an educational path that he believes to be the correct one, through success and error, replicating examples that he believes will result in success. Objectives: This study analyzed the competences of preceptor physiotherapist in the Multiprofessional Residency of Sírio Libanês Hospital and, more specifically, characterized the profile of these preceptors, surveyed the competences for the exercise of preceptorship, mapped strengths and weaknesses of the team and identified suggestions from preceptors to improve their practices. Methodology: Qualiquantitative, exploratory, descriptive and cross-sectional study. In the first stage of data collection, a questionnaire consisting of 33 items was applied to apprehend the perception of preceptors about their competences in the “knowledge, skill and attitude” dimensions. For this stage, 71 physical therapist preceptors, working in the Multiprofessional Residency Programs of Sírio Libanês Hospital, were invited. Of these, 50 agreed to participate in this first stage and completed the questionnaire. Data from the questionnaire were subjected to descriptive statistical analysis. In the second stage, to deepen the data obtained, 10 interviews were carried out with a semistructured script, elaborated from the results of the questionnaire. In this second stage, the data were submitted to content analysis in the thematic modality, considering the dimensions “knowledge, skill and attitude”. Results and Discussion: Most research participants are young, female and postgraduate. As for the necessary skills in the knowledge dimension, the participants indicated that the preceptor needs to know the physical and operational structure of the work environment; understand the proposals of the residency program; know the expertise of different preceptors; have cognitive domain for discussions of clinical cases; and have training in educational strategies. In the skill dimension, they indicated that the practical domain of respiratory and musculoskeletal physiotherapy is necessary; exercise peer-to-peer communication and individualized teaching with each resident; deal with the resident in complications; promote the active methodology. In the attitude domain, the preceptor must encourage protagonism; being the example in humanized care; spread respect and ethics; value the resident's integration and decision-making; recognize the value of educational actions aimed at preceptorship. From the interviews carried out, the main strengths emerged: the resident's ability to integrate into the multidisciplinary team, the encouragement of critical and reflective reasoning and professional actions based on respect and ethics. The most relevant weaknesses indicated by the preceptors are the difficulty in motivating the resident, the arduous task of correlating theory with practice, the impact of work overload and the misunderstanding of the factors that guarantee the practice of preceptorship. With regard to competences, data analysis suggests that four of them need changes in the short term, eight reveal aspects to be improved and 21 present good perception. The interviewees' suggestions were consistent with the exposed weaknesses and mainly explore the themes of training, team strengthening and institutional support. Final considerations: The research showed, from the participants' perception, which competencies are important to exercise the role ofpreceptor, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of this team, with regard to their competencies. This perception can direct future selection processes for the function, favor the development of preceptors and the consequent improvement in the teaching and learning process.

O desenho da pesquisa foi um estudo descritivo com 28 preceptores da UEA. A coleta de dados deu-se por meio de um questionário com questões fechadas e uma entrevista semiestruturada. A intenção era fazer um levantamento das atividades desenvolvidas na preceptoria; conhecer o preparo dos preceptores, os pontos fortes e os nós críticos da preceptoria na UEA, as sugestões para o aprimoramento da preceptoria, e as qualidades de um bom preceptor. A análise dos dados foi feita por tema. Os resultados quanto às motivações para atuar como preceptor apontados foram o gosto pela docência e a possibilidade de aprimorar a formação médica. Os preceptores percebem sua atuação como uma oportunidade de compartilhar o seu conhecimento com os estudantes. Referem-se à pós-graduação e à prática clínica como espaços importantes de formação. Gostariam, entretanto, de ter um melhor preparo pedagógico para a sua atuação, assim como a possibilidade de aprimorar sua titulação acadêmica. No que se refere às atividades que desenvolvem, foram apontadas as práticas nos diferentes cenários, as discussões teóricas e o estudo de caso. Como nós críticos, destacam a necessidade de melhores cenários de prática, a restrita integração com a equipe de saúde, o desafio de despertar o interesse discente, e a necessidade de maior número de preceptores. Os pontos fortes da preceptoria citados indicam a relação médico paciente e a interação com os alunos. Como sugestões para aperfeiçoar a preceptoria, destacam a adequação dos cenários de prática, a contratação de preceptores, a melhora da qualidade dos estudantes ingressantes, e o oferecimento de possibilidade de atualização. Valorizam como principais competências de um bom preceptor as relativas aos domínios afetivo-moral, relacionais e de aquisição e uso do conhecimento. Os dados possibilitaram a laboração de um relatório técnico, a ser apresentado na instituição no intuito de colaborar para o aperfeiçoamento do curso médico.

Nos últimos anos, foram implementadas ações governamentais para expansão da AB com políticas indutoras de vagas nos programas de residência e formação de preceptores visando formar profissionais qualificados para atuarem na AB. O objetivo deste estudo é identificar e refletir coletivamente sobre os desafios de ser preceptor de um Programa de Residência de Medicina de Família e Comunidade (PRMFC), em Unidades da AB, no SUS da cidade de São Paulo. Foi realizado um estudo descritivo e narrativo com abordagem qualitativa de perspectiva etnográfica, envolvendo preceptores de um PRMFC, através da aplicação de um questionário e a realização de um grupo focal com os preceptores que responderam ao questionário. A pesquisadora, também, realizou registros em um Diário de Campo. A análise dos dados foi realizada consoante a perspectiva da análise temática do conteúdo. Foram elencadas questões que podem contribuir com a qualificação da formação de médicos para atender as demandas e complexidade da AB, destacando o trabalho em equipe e o cuidado interdisciplinar. Além de possibilitar um espaço de reflexão e compartilhamento de saberes entre os preceptores do programa elencado. Como também, contribuir com reflexões e ações que qualifiquem a formação do médico da AB, no e para o SUS.

Foi uma pesquisa qualitativa, de caráter descritivo-exploratório, utilizando dois instrumentos de coleta: questionário e entrevista. O questionário foi aplicado a trinta e dois preceptores e quarenta e três residentes das unidades hospitalares de referência e utilizou escala Likert avaliando grau de concordância. A construção das assertivas foi feita a partir dos seguintes núcleos direcionadores: relevância de um programa de residência médica (PRM) em hospital assistencial; estrutura e organização dos PRMs; preceptoria; relação ensino-assistência. Após análise destes questionários, foram elaboradas questões de aprofundamento em um roteiro para entrevistas semi-estruturadas com seis gestores e nove preceptores. O estudo foi autorizado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa da Universidade Federal de São Paulo, parecer 51411/2012. A residência médica em hospitais assistenciais do estado de Roraima promove melhoria na assistência, maior satisfação da população atendida e possibilidade de retaguarda no atendimento. Estimula a educação permanente e a pesquisa, contribuindo para a fixação médica local. Sua implantação foi demandada pela instituição hospitalar e universidade, encontrando estrutura hospitalar não concebida para o ensino, falta de protocolos, resistência inicial do corpo clínico e falta de autonomia da gestão local. Existe dificuldade na organização, na articulação com instâncias gestoras, no estabelecimento de uma cultura de planejamento e na integração com a equipe de saúde do hospital. Porém, há envolvimento das direções nas dificuldades enfrentadas, com interesse para a solução da infraestrutura. Para alguns, existe uma boa interação ensino-assistência, com potencialização da assistência, adequação da rotina assistencial, otimização do aprendizado e possibilidade de desenvolvimento de pesquisa aplicada. Observam-se também dificuldades nesta interação, na diferenciação entre direções e residentes, número reduzido de preceptores, sobrecarga de trabalho, dificuldades de pactuação com a preceptoria, despreparo do preceptor e responsabilidade isolada do residente pela assistência. A preceptoria mostra potencialidades, como crescimento pessoal, orientação ética aos residentes, desenvolvimento do papel de educador e aprimoramento da postura. Promove apoio operacional à assistência com otimização e acompanhamento do trabalho assistencial oferecendo segurança através do apoio técnico aos residentes. Enfrenta dificuldades como a necessidade de preceptores qualificados, escassez de profissionais para a demanda assistencial, falta de compromisso com a função e falta de rotina acadêmica dentro do serviço. É requerida contrapartida da gestão com definição de carga horária à preceptoria, remuneração da função, planejamento conjunto e reconhecimento do seu papel. Acredita-se que o estudo trouxe informações que possibilitam melhor entendimento sobre a residência médica em hospital assistencial. Espera-se contribuir para a discussão sobre o tema e para o desenvolvimento dos programas na região norte do Brasil.
