    Arte e infância: a captura do olhar da criança pequena pelas lentes da fotografia

    Este estudo foi construído a partir de uma experiência fotográfica realizada com crianças de educação infantil, especialmente de 2 e 3 anos, em um colégio construtivista em São Paulo, inspirado nas abordagens de Reggio Emilia e Emmi Pikler. Com base no conceito de Aprendizagem Baseada em Projetos, observou-se o grande interesse das crianças pelos registros fotográficos e audiovisuais, dando início ao projeto "Através dos olhos das crianças pequenas… O que você vê?". Câmeras e materiais de observação não estruturados foram disponibilizados aos bebês para captar o cotidiano através de seu olhar. As experiências fotográficas resultaram em outras propostas derivadas do interesse das crianças nas imagens capturadas por elas. A pesquisa destacou a importância de replanejar a visão dos processos artísticos, promovendo a criatividade e a expressão livre das crianças. Dessa forma, podemos pensar na criança não como um universo vazio de significado e comunicação, mas como um ser pensante e produtor de linguagem. Observamos nesta pesquisa as múltiplas linguagens das infâncias, seja por meio de gestos e movimentos, ou então por meio de linguagens artísticas através do desenho, da fotografia e da exploração sensorial. As produções das crianças servem como registro documental para os educadores, impulsionando o desenvolvimento expressivo de cada criança. A fotografia, como registro documental, passa a ser uma forma de captar as vivências das infâncias, oferecendo um novo olhar sobre o mundo. As expressões linguísticas da criança, sejam elas verbais ou não-verbais, nos convidam a acessar seu cotidiano com curiosidade.

    Fotografia aplicada na pesquisa clínico-cirúrgica

    Medical photography is an adequate scientific document when performed on a standard fashion. A proper photography is an important issue on a scientific publication. Plastic surgeons are experts in clinical photography and, frequently, an image is a more significant data than the written part of a paper. The purpose of this article is to describe the principles developed in this specialty. Basic photographic equipment used for clinical pictures is described. Standardized pictures determined by patient position and framing using anatomical references are reported. Using these rules it is possible to compare pre and post operative pictures. Topics such as intra operative pictures in endoscopic surgery, computer fotogrametry and in Experimental Surgery are also analyzed.

    Fotografia do território como forma de narrativa e fortalecimento do pertencimento e subjetividade dos sujeitos: um relato de experiência

    Pressupondo-se o enlace da psicologia e da fotografia como uma experiência subjetiva que tem potencial para reafirmar a posição dos sujeitos perante o mundo ao seu redor, temos um relato de experiência a partir de uma pesquisa - intervenção cartográfica, realizada com um usuário do CAPS (Centro de Apoio Psicossocial) sobre seu território. Pelo o olhar do protagonista percorremos o território vivido pelo sujeito, narrando em fotografias e videografias aspectos significativos que recontam sua história. Buscou-se estabelecer relações entre o uso da fotografia do território como mecanismo de resgate de memórias, fortalecimento do pertencimento do sujeito em território invisibilizado e como desfecho, a construção de vídeo-narrativa da própria trajetória. A análise se deu a partir do conceito de território existencial. Percebeu-se na utilização da vídeo-narrativa um caminho promissor nas estratégias de cuidado em saúde mental que busquem a arte e a produção subjetiva dos sujeitos. A potência deste trabalho foi agregar conhecimento científico para uma temática que segue em expansão.

    Fotogrametria e Antropometria direta da região mamária

    The standard photography documentation has been used as a tool of morphology assessment, becoming a source of objective information when compared with the visual site. The importance of the measurements in the front part of the breast area is due to scientific and juridical aspects, being another auxiliary method of evaluation before and after surgery. The measurement by direct anthropometry (measuring tape, compass …) are routinely used in clinical practice, however the analysis for photogrammetry allows accurate results. Objective: Compare breast measurements by digital photogrammetry and direct anthropometry. Methods: 40 volunteers from female gender, (age range 18-60) had their breasts and arms marked with 14 points, 6 anatomic and 8 anthropometric points. From the points were traced 8 linear segments and 1 angular to each hemi-body. The volunteers were photographed in the standard manner as positioning, framing photographic, correct perspective and scales to software calibration. The photos were then measured by computerized photogrammetry evaluated by direct anthropometry using a tape-measure, compass and protractor. Results: There were differences in all of the measurements taken using the three methods analyzed. Conclusions: There were no equivalencies between the measurements taken by direct anthropometry and computerized photogrammetry; however the analysis of intra examiner showed high predictive value for photogrammetry.

    The Research Analyzes The Works Of John Heartfield And Tina Modotti Who Used Photography As A Means Of Artistic And Political Expression. He Was German, Dadaist And Lived In Berlin. She Was Italian, Precursor Of Modern Mexican Photography, Who Lived In The American And European Continents. Heartfield Was Part Of The Artistic Historical Vanguards While Modotti Was Influenced By Them. Both Used Photomontage As A Strategy For The Diffusion Of Socialist And Revolutionary Discourse. Inspired By Daily Life, They Produced Critical Works Published In The Press Of The Time. John Heartfield Was Editor Of The Arbeiter Illustrierte Zeitung - Aiz Magazine, In Germany. Tina Modotti Was Editor And Photographer Of Mexican Folkways Magazine And The Newspaper El Machete In Mexico City. Each In Its Own Way Sought To Transform The Reality In Which It Lived Through Conflict And Through Art.     Habitar um mundo de imagens: reflexões sobre os sentidos e sobre a imaginação por meio das fotografias de Evgen Bavcar

    This research aims to explore and problematize the political and multisensorial dimensions of the photographic image through the case study of the photographs and texts of blind photographer and philosopher Evgen Bavcar. Based on the considerations made by Bruno Latour (2008) and Jaques Rancière (2017), I propose to think of photography as a machine of affections (that is, as a way of producing and engendering differences in the world that produces both a sensory environment and a sensitive medium based on collective assemblages that involve both human and non-human actors, in a process that produces simultaneously: bodies, desires, affections and policies) able to transit between different regimes of visibility.

    A imagem no cinema como choque segundo Walter Benjamin

    O célebre ensaio “A obra de arte na era de sua reprodutibilidade técnica” de Walter Benjamin salienta a transformação do conceito de obra de arte sob um viés histórico e de produção. Neste sentido, a reprodutibilidade técnica representa uma ruptura com o conceito tradicional de obra de arte quanto aos elementos espaço-temporais que lhe conferem o caráter de obra original e aurática. Nesse contexto, se inserem a fotografia e o cinema que, devido a suas particularidades técnicas, exigem uma nova forma de percepção e recepção da obra de arte, que Benjamin busca caracterizar por meio do conceito de choque. Movimentos de vanguarda do início do século XX, como dadaísmo e surrealismo, exploraram e anteciparam o efeito de choque em suas opções estéticas. Tais fenômenos artísticos se originaram num momento histórico das sociedades modernas industrializadas e de massas, marcado, entre outros, pelo desenvolvimento acelerado da técnica a partir do século XIX e pela crescente penetração desta na vida cotidiana, o que trouxe alterações comportamentais sob vários aspectos, dentre eles a relação entre a experiência individual e coletiva.

    Imagens insurgentes, mulheres e negros no acervo fotográfico de Gilda e Antonio Candido de Mello e Souza

    An investigation of photography in personal collections, notably researching a collection put together by Gilda and Antonio Candido de Mello e Souza in the course of their personal trajectories. Although the collection contains about 5000 images, produced over a 170-year span of time , the dissertation prioritizes a subset produced between the mid-nineteenth century and the early decades of the twentieth century, covering little-known or rarely published images. This also allowed us to proceed to the analysis of the transformations and continuities within Brazilian society. Initially, the owners of the collection are presented, followed by the techniques found in the collection - such as daquerreotype, cyanotype and planotype, with next the photographers who created the images and the places where the photographs were stored by the couple. Subsequently the (under) representation, in the collection, of women and black people, is analyzed, both in quantitative and qualitative terms. Throughout the dissertation, attention is paid to the materiality of the images and emphasis is placed on the presence of vernacular photography. It is a transdisciplinary work that broaches visual anthropology, art history and cultural management, among other fields of knowledge.

    Imagens trans: as relações de transexuais com suas fotografias de infância

    This paper offers a comprehension regarding the ties that transsexual persons have with their childhood pictures. In an attempt to address the way that each of them see and portray their own image of the past, the ethnographic research sought, at first, to obtain narratives about their life paths and their relationships with the photographs. In the second part of the research, the photo itself was inquired as interlocutor of the work through interventions in the portraits that could bring forth the association established with it, extracting, hence, as much as it could to aid in the understanding of this complex correlation between people and imagery.

    Modernidade, paisagem e fotografia: o bairro de Pinheiros em perspectiva (1908-1969)

    This research’s goal is to problematize and to understand the landscape changes that happened in the neighborhood of Pinheiros during the modernizing process that the city of São Paulo went through (while it became a metropolis). The main sources are photographic documents that were produced regarding Pinheiros since the beginning of the 20th century until the late 1960’s. The public constructions regarding Pinheiros’s river straightening, wide avenues making, streets asphalting and waters channeling are landscape changes in that neighborhood that ended ancient activities typical of that region. The end of such practices affected how the habitants related to and remembered that space while the city became a huge metropolis. The photographies that are analyzed, besides seen as a visual reference, are also seen as a modern vehicle that worked as propaganda for different modernizing ideals that were common during the 20th century.

    Padronização fotográfica e morfométrica na fotogrametria computadorizada do nariz

    Objective: To develop a photographic standardization and technique of morphometric analyses of the external part of the nose to compare photographic images into an objective form of pre and post-operative. Methods: Eleven females patients were pictures bearers of negroid nose with age varying among 19 to 45 years old being 2 of white color, 5 of brown color and 4 of black color. The photographic technique was standardized in the anterior position, right profile and basal position. Pictures in paper were digitized and through common graphic software mensurations were accomplished by photogrammetry. It was used nine nasals measured, one were used in anterior position, three in right profile and five in basal position. Results: The patient's photographic positioning among the pre and post-operative were comparable. The identification of the anthropometrics points and chosen lines were clear, the obtaining of measures was of easy execution, and measures values could have approach of millesimal order, turning possible the comparison of the values. Conclusion: The procedures of photographic standardization and morphometric analyzed proposed were shown feasible, practical and necessary.

    O projeto modernizador da Belle Époque Recifense e suas contradições através da fotografia de Francisco du Bocage realizadas entre 1892-1919

    Francisco du Bocage was a photographer who worked in Recife between 1892 and 1919 and his photographs bequeathed us a valuable documentary on the gentrification of the city of those early years of the First Republic. Considered a master of records of the urban landscapes of the northeast, Bocage photographed, on demand, the reforms of the port district bringing strong documentary character of the entrance of Recife in the modernity longed for by the Pernambuco elite in the nascent republic. His photographs of the works created a unique visual documentary about the deep transformations in the port in the decades of 10 and 20 of century XX. In addition to the orders for the port and the portraits, Bocage also photographed images that were used in posts from his photo studio. He also recorded the daily life and solemnities of the city seeking angles for the "popular classes" in their work in the streets and their neighborhoods, which shows social and cultural permanence in the city that was transformed. The present dissertation intends to present in the light of Visual Anthropology the creation of a place called Recife through the analysis of some images produced and circulated in the period of the First Republic, with emphasis on the photographs of Francisco du Bocage.

    Este estudo dedica-se a analisar os retratos de travestis produzidos por Virgínia de Medeiros na produção artística do Studio Butterfly, tendo como base a teoria do retrato fotográfico para refletir sobre a importância histórica e sociopolítica da temática e deste trabalho como um todo. O objetivo é compreender o processo de criação e a ousadia da proposta realizada conjuntamente com as transgêneros fotografadas, uma vez que a artista se envolve a ponto de investigar as relações que se constroem com elas no dia a dia do estúdio fotográfico. Pretende enfatizar a relevância temática da obra como proposta da exposição do estúdio e dos retratos posados para a fotógrafa. Além disso, a análise de detalhes do projeto artístico revela o envolvimento na experiência vivida durante a captação da alteridade do sujeito trans em foco. A compreensão da temática destes retratos no contexto da arte contemporânea, nos novos estudos da história da arte a partir das questões políticas advindas do campo das imagens, circunscreve o empenho pedagógico da área para promover a arte educação nas exposições.

    O uso de imagens em materiais educacionais

    Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso visa desenvolver um produto a partir da temática do uso de imagens fotográficas em materiais educacionais. O potencial de uso de imagens como fotografias, ilustrações, infográficos, vídeos etc., em materiais educacionais é amplo, e neste trabalho abordarei apenas as fotografias. O produto proposto é um guia rápido de uso em formato de um livro digital (e-book) com objetivo de servir de apoio, fornecendo informações práticas e rápidas para o uso de imagens fotográficas em projetos educacionais. Vivemos imersos em um universo altamente imagético, com o qual interagimos diariamente nos mais diversos momentos de nosso dia a dia. A fotografia, técnica cujos primeiros registros ocorreram há quase 200 anos, e inicialmente de difícil e caro acesso, tornou-se acessível e popular ao longo do século XX com o advento de novas tecnologias nos filmes e câmeras. Foi, porém, a partir da década de 1980 com o advento da fotografia digital e posteriormente sua inclusão como funcionalidade nos aparelhos celulares, que a fotografia passou a vivenciar um aumento exponencial em seu uso. Atualmente é bastante comum as pessoas se comunicarem utilizando imagens de diversos tipos e formatos, capturados por seus Smartphones. Se considerarmos que esta forma de comunicação constitui uma linguagem visual, as ações e materiais educacionais que desenvolvemos para este público habituado a utilizá-la, podem necessitar incorporar estímulos visuais através do uso de imagens, para capturar sua atenção e atingir os objetivos esperados. Porém o processo de pesquisa, seleção e aplicação de imagens, é uma adição às várias habilidades necessárias para os profissionais que desenvolvem os projetos educacionais, como os Designers Educacionais, Professores Conteudistas, Instrutores Corporativos etc. e várias dúvidas podem surgir durante o processo de inclusão de imagens em seus projetos.

    A voz dos olhares que percorrem a periferia: o território sob as lentes do adolescente

    The outskirts of São Paulo is marked by situations of social inequality, violence and poverty. It is a fertile territory full of vulnerabilities and potentialities, aspects that only their residents can identify them. Adolescence is marked by the search for new experiences of pleasure and feelings of belonging to a social group are actors ideal for photographing the potentialities and weaknesses of the territory in which they live and structure your daily life. Thus, this exploratory qualitative study, which used the photography as a methodological resource, sought to investigate the perception that adolescents residents in a slum have over the territory in which they live. So cameras were distributed to the participants, who in turn photographed dimensions related to leisure, socializing, sports and entertainment found in space, as well as recorded aspects that need more government attention, such as garbage and rubble placed on sidewalks, polluted springs and finally, valued the organization maintenance and revitalization of squares and the soccer field, showing that the Their youth are attentive to the complex issues of the territory in which they live.
