From September 1996 to September 2003, 146 graduate students (99 in the Master's degree program and 47 in the Doctoral program) were attended. This population was predominantly female (68.5%), with a mean (± SD) age of 28.6 ± 4.42 years, not married (71.9%). Most of the subjects were professionals who had not graduated from the Federal University (78.1%). The students who sought help for psychological and/or psychiatric problems were classified into two categories: situational-adaptive crises and psychopathological crises. The main diagnoses were depression and anxiety disorders (44%) causing 4.5% of the subjects to be temporarily suspended from their graduate studies; 19.2% reported that they had used psychotropic drugs within the previous month, and 47.9% referred to sleep disturbances. Suicidal tendencies were mentioned by 18% of those interviewed. Students with emotional disturbances and academic dysfunctions should be recognized at an early stage, and it is fundamental for them to have access to mental health programs that provide formal, structured and confidential care. Thus, it is important that professors and advisors in graduate programs build a warm and affective learning environment. If we consider the expressive growth in Brazilian scientific production resulting from the implementation of an extensive national system of graduate education, it is important to focus efforts on enhancing and upgrading the mental health care system.

The studies investigate the relation between the career time and the processes of sufferings and pleasure of the teachers, besides a certain analysis of the occupational stress generated, going into the aspects related to the work organization and the teaching career. Working with the richness of the field of Work - related Mental Health, the research is based on the conceptual framework of Stress Theory and Burnout, but includes the proposition of constructs created from the concepts of pleasure and suffering, extracted from the psychodynamic theory of job. The aim of this research is to find grounds for the construction of action / reflection in favor of the professional exercise, as well as to deal with the teaching being, in face of the demands of the work organization, the experiences lived during the career, and the relations of these factors with the perceptions Of stress, suffering and pleasure at work expressed by the subjects. It is a field study, descriptive, transversal, articulating quantitative and comprehensive-interpretative methods. The procedure was the direct request of information to teachers of the Department of Education of Santos, in teaching activity, about the hypothesis, which affirmed, the longer the career time, the greater the suffering and the stress. The data collection was done with a selfadministered questionnaire, created for this purpose, containing 32 direct questions, 24 of which were multiple choice and 8 were open. The topics discussed are related to the main variable, teaching career time, as well as recognition, appreciation, pleasure and suffering at work. In two questions, the technique of free association of words, differential of the instrument was used because it places the subject in a more subjective reflection in the contact with the motives and feelings in relation to his profession. The non-probabilistic sample consisted of 115 teachers who accepted an invitation to participate in the study, after approval of the Education Department of Santos. Data were analyzed from relative frequencies and inferential analyzes. The degree of suffering and pleasure were measured on a scale of 0 to 10, and presented complementary means: 4.42 for the degree of suffering and 6.76 for the degree of pleasure. Another highlight is the words expressed by the subjects, where dedication, commitment, fulfillment, vocation, love, fatigue, which formed the clouds of words, an analyzer of frequencies. The final product, was conceived and created, from the results, with a playful character. It is a game that can be used with the teachers, in a itinerant way in the spaces of permanent education, enabling the work with the questions raised in this research on the teaching career. It seeks to bring lightness to work, even dealing with the experiences associated with career time and the experiences of pleasure and suffering at work. This initiative aims to contribute to the well-being of teachers and so that the municipality can become a reference in the treatment of the theme.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)O uso dos florais de Bach em trabalhadores da saúde com estresse, ansiedade e depressão(Universidade Federal de São Paulo, 2023-07-25) Japiassu, Renato Barbosa [UNIFESP]; De Liberal, Márcia Mello Costa [UNIFESP]; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7710283260920359; http://lattes.cnpq.br/6073731670132514Objetivo: Com o aumento da demanda por serviços de saúde para o tratamento de ansiedade, estresse e depressão, a pesquisa visa analisar o uso dos florais de Bach pelos profissionais da saúde, assim como, a importância da introdução das práticas integrativas e complementares em saúde no sistema público no Brasil. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura prospectiva, em nível exploratório e descritivo, justificada pelo fato desse tipo de estudo partir do princípio de uma questão norteadora, que servirá como guia para a pesquisa. Resultados: Os fatores de estrutura organizacional predispõem os profissionais de saúde ao estresse ocupacional. Além disso, o ritmo intenso, as altas demandas cognitivas e emocionais, o trabalho em turnos, os agravos físicos e psíquicos, as situações desgastantes, as relações conflituosas, o risco premente de erros e as perdas do cotidiano repercutem na saúde mental do trabalhador. Discussão: Muitas abordagens integrativas e complementares de saúde compartilham a crença na existência de níveis de energias sutis ou vitais e veem as doenças como resultantes de mudanças nesses níveis. Embora essa medicina energética envolva uma variedade de técnicas, acredita-se que todas elas influenciam o organismo em níveis mais fundamentais e profundos. Conclusão: A utilização dos florais de Bach como terapia complementar na prática profissional, em especial, os enfermeiros, significa um avanço frente às complexidades atuais enfrentadas pelos indivíduos. Por ser possível a sua aplicação em todas as especialidades da área da saúde, esse tratamento auxilia na recuperação de doenças e previne os desequilíbrios de ordem emocional e mental.
