- ItemSomente MetadadadosCorrosion protection of AA2024-T3 by poly (phenylenesulfide-phenyleneamine) (PPSA), a soluble copolymer of polyaniline(Pergamon-Elsevier Science Ltd, 2016) Xavier, Thiago Henrique Andrade [UNIFESP]; Liu, Andrea Santos; Camilo, Fernanda Ferraz [UNIFESP]This work focused on the elucidation of the corrosion behavior of a soluble copolymer of polyaniline, called poly(phenylenesulfide-phenyleneamine) (PPSA), deposited on aluminum alloy (AA2024-T3). The insulating (reduced) and conducting (oxidized) forms of this polymer were analyzed and it was observed that the reduced form of a PPSA film with a thickness of about 40 pm showed the best performance as physical barrier. Thicker films did not show satisfactory results due to their poor adherence to the alloy surface. In the conducting form, PPSA was not efficient. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosImpedance studies of poly(methylmethacrylate-co-acrylic acid) doped polyaniline films on aluminum alloy(Elsevier B.V., 2009-07-01) Oliveira, M. A. S.; Moraes, J. J.; Faez, R. [UNIFESP]; ITA; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Films of polyaniline doped with poly(methylmethacrylate-co-acrylic acid) - PAni-PMMA-co-AA - were prepared on AA3104-H19 alloy, an aluminum alloy used in the Brazilian can industry, by immersion of the pre-treated surfaces into a PAni-PMMA-co-AA saturated ethyl acetate solution. The films formed on the aluminum alloy were characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was used to investigate the corrosion protection afforded by the PAni-PMMA-co-AA films to the aluminum alloy. the EIS tests were performed on coated and uncoated surfaces exposed to 0.5 mol L(-1) NaCl aqueous solution, pH 5.8.For comparison, EIS tests were also performed on AA3104-H19 alloy surfaces coated with a commercial epoxy resin (ICI 640C692), which has been used to cover the internal surfaces of beverage cans in the Brazilian can industry. the EIS studies showed that the total impedance of the doped polyaniline coated surfaces is bigger than that of surfaces coated with the ICI 640C692 epoxy resin films.Salt spray tests were also performed on just polished, ICI 640C692 and PAni-PMMA-co-AA coated surfaces. the time sequence for appearance of the first pits in the salt spray test was: t(blank) < t(epoxy) < t(PAni-PMMA-co-AA), which reinforces the EIS results, i.e., PAni-PMMA-co-AA films offer better corrosion protection to the AA3104-H19 alloy than the commercial ICI 640C692 epoxy resin films. - ItemSomente MetadadadosParticipação pública no licenciamento ambiental: um estudo de caso do Centro Logístico Campo Grande em Paranapiacaba (Santo André – SP)(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2020-03-25) Campagnaro, Virginia Hamer [UNIFESP]; Farias, Luciana Aparecida [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São PauloPublic participation is an essential step in the environmental licensing process, with public hearings being the space of organized presence for its occurrence. However, participation beyond public hearings is not widely studied. In this perspective, the present study had as main objective to monitor and analyze public participation through Integrated Environmental Analysis, inside and outside the hearings in the environmental licensing process of Centro Logístico Campo Grande, a development proposed to be implemented in the Paranapiacaba district in the Santo André municipality (SP). The study had a qualitative character, in the form of a case study close to an ethnographic study, and the data collection was done through participant observation, semi-structured interviews and document analysis. The analysis of the data obtained was carried out by means of Bardin content analysis, Environmental Impact Study (EIS) analysis based on the Lee & Colley methodology and investigation of social representations according to Moscovici and the Abric Central Core Theory. A characterization of the conflict was carried out, as well as a survey of its history and the social actors involved. As main results, it was found that the criterion obtained for the EIS was (E), considered unsatisfactory, hindering the decision making by the responsible environmental agency and public participation. The social representations found for the different actors are conflicting, showing that the origin of the conflict is related to different material and symbolic appropriations of environmental resources, in this case, land use. Suggestions were also made to improve the licensing process and the public participation.
