This article discusses the criteria for authorship attribution, the reasons for the growing indices of coauthorship and the challenges to determine authorship in electronic journals. Through literature review and case study (bibliographic search in scientific database), it shows ways to avoid that misbehaviors related to the authorship attribution affect the credibility of science.

Moreover, the article presents a reflection on the role of editors of scientific journals in respect to inpproper authorship, reinforcing the importance of the issue and suggesting ethical criteria for its determination.

Despite Of Significant Time And Cultural Distance Between The Authors It Is Possible To Observe That Both Established Intense Relationships With Different Literary Works, In Order To Break With Current Traditions In Their Respective Periods And, For That Reason, Propose Reformulations Way Of Writing.The Study Begins With Don Quixote De La Mancha, A Novel Written By Miguel De Cervantes In 1605 And The Short Story Pierre Menard, Author Of Don Quixote Published In 1939 By Jorge Luis Borges. Cervantes Does Not Employ Intertextuality As A Resource To Adopt A Cultured And Erudite Man Perspective But Uses It To Compose His Reproaches Of This Common Practice For Men Of Fine Arts And Especially The Novels Of Chivalry. Methods: It was developed at the Departamento de Oftalmologia e Ciências Visuais da UNIFESP-EPM from 03/01/2018 to 12/31/2019 and it was approved by the Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP nº 5180061117). A previous search was carried out on Google®, Google Acadêmico®, INPI and brazillian federal universities using the following terms: “manual de registro de patentes” and “Universidades Federais”. The guides and booklets available on the INPI website were used as an example guide in the development of the guide for registering patents and authorship. The brazillian federal universities were checked and if they had their own guide or booklet too. Results: Based on the research carried out, the existing legislation and the guides and booklets found in these universities were used to compose the patent registration and authorship guide, in addition, it was observed that of the 69 brazillian federal universities found only 11 (16 %) had their own guide or booklet which when distributed in the southeast, northeast, south, midwest, and north regions they represented 6%, 6%, 3%, 1% and 0%, respectively. Conclusion: A guide about the registration of patents and authorship of the of the Departamento de Oftalmologia e Ciências Visuais da UNIFESP-EPM was developed.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosThe prevalence and influence of self-reported conflicts of interest by editorial authors of phase III cancer trials(Elsevier B.V., 2012-09-01) Lerner, Tatiana Goberstein; Miranda, Michele da Costa; Lera, Andrea Thaumaturgo; Ueda, Aline [UNIFESP]; Briones, Bruna; Del Giglio, Auro; Riechelmann, Rachel; ICESP; FMABC; Inst Pele Saudavel; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Purpose: To assess the frequency with which editorial authors report personal conflict of interest and investigate a possible association between the presence of such conflicts and favorable opinion.Methods: Eligible studies were editorials of phase III clinical trials of antitumor drugs or symptom management published from January 2007 to December 2009 in four top oncology journals. Data from the editorials were collected and each editorial opinion was classified as favorable, neutral or unfavorable with respect to the experimental therapy.Results: Fifty-four editorials were included: 23 (43%) reported at least one conflict of interest, with the most frequent one being consultancy fees. Conclusions of editorial authors were classified as favorable in 18 editorials (33%). Sensitivity analysis found an association between self-reported conflict of interest of the editorial author and editorial favorable opinion (RR:2.7; 95% Cl 1.2-6.1; p = 0.019).Discussion: Besides the high proportion of conflict of interest among editorial authors discussing phase Ill clinical trials, study interpretation may be influenced by their financial relationships with industry.
