Methods: The sample was composed of 196 participants of both genders (BMI for age >1 z score) ages 8 to 12, of two public schools of southeast Brazil. The multivariate linear regression analysis included biochemical and sociodemographic parameters with adjustments for age, gender, and pubertal stage. Results: Serum levels of vitamin D were insufficient/deficient in 84.2% (n=165/196) of the participants. In multivariate analysis, serum 25(OH)D concentration showed a negative association with having access at home internet (β= -2.71; p =0.01), total serum cholesterol (β= -0.05; p = 0.03), phosphorus (β = -2.54; p = 0.03) and PTH (β= -4.57; p=0.06). Conclusions: There was a high prevalence of 25(OH)D deficiency in overweight children and adolescents of low income; 25(OH)D levels were inversely associated with biochemical parameters(PTH, total cholesterol and phoshorus) and acess to home internet.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosPrograma de exercícios físicos para crianças e adolescentes durante e após tratamento de Leucemia Linfóide Aguda(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2019-09-26) Silva, Rafaela Ester Galisteu Da [UNIFESP]; Avelar, Ariane Ferreira Machado [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Introduction: Acute Lymphoid Leukemia (ALL) is the most common type among childhood leukemias. Children and adolescents during and after treatment reduce their level of physical activity due to physical limitations, secondary diseases resulting from oncologic treatment and sedentary lifestyle, generating low fitness and physical inactivity. Objective: To develop a physical exercise program for children and adolescents during and after the treatment of ALL. Methods: Study developed in three methodological steps: 1 - systematic review with meta-analysis on the effects of physical exercise on physical fitness in children and adolescents with ALL; 2 - methodological study for construction and validation of home exercise guidance booklet for children and adolescents during and after treatment of ALL; 3 - a case study on the effect of physical exercise program on physical fitness and quality of life of a child after treatment of ALL. Results: In the systematic review with meta-analysis, from a total of 480 clinical, random and controlled studies selected from the databases, after reading the title, abstract and in full, three articles were included in the systematic review and two in the meta-analysis. High heterogeneity was evidenced (70%), with no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the evaluation of muscle strength. For cardiorespiratory fitness, the meta-analysis showed low heterogeneity (29%), with a significant difference between the groups. The guidebook for home physical exercises was composed of 20 exercises, distributed in the warm-up, training, and cool-down, reaching 100% in the content validity index in the second round with specialists. In the case study, the child presented improvement in cardiorespiratory fitness with an increase of 40 meters, flexibility with an increase of 8 cm, dynamic balance with reduction of time in 0.79 seconds and quality of life. Conclusions: The physical exercise program proposed for home development by children and adolescents during and after ALL treatment was presented in a booklet validated by specialists and demonstrated practical applicability in use by a child, with positive repercussions on physical fitness and quality of life.
