In this direction, there is an emphasisis on the broader perspective of the role of social movements, particularly the black movement in the 80s and 90 to the legislative changes that have occurred since the establishment of the Law 10.639/03 reflecting the didactic production. The racial issue is investigated from the perspective of public policies in line with the policies for Youth and Adult Education from the trajectory of the above mentioned book tome Viver, Aprender intended to final years of elementary school EJA. The original publication of 2004 and its redition in 2006 are analyzed together with its transformation into paradidactic book in the same year and, finally, the compilation of 11 books of the collection into a unified tome, 2007, 2008, 2009.The work is based on the cultural history of the book, with reference to Roger Chartier and history of educational and school books and booklets on concepts developed by Alain Choppin and Antônio Augusto Gomes Batista. Because it's a collection of books search, we understand this organization from the studies of Marta Maria Chagas Carvalho. The thought of writing textbooks by intellectuals took place through Circe Bittencourt and José Cássio Másculo to understand the tome of the authors Para entender o negro no Brasil de hoje, written by two experts on African-Brazilian studies. And finally, we use four directions for analyzing the changes and continuities in the 2004 editions, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009: texts, from studies of Julvan Moreira de Oliveira (2009); and boxes, images and covers, with the studies of Juliana Ricarte Ferraro (2013) and Gérald Genette (2009). We will also use the work of Alan Powers (2008).
