However, the majority of these studies have evaluated the effects of the exercises joined with the vibrating training in order to determine if there was post-training improvement, and did not evaluate the effects of both vibrating and non-vibrating platform exercises. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the acute effect of exercise on the knee extensors, with and without the stimulus of the vibrating platform. METHODS: Thirty male active individuals, with age range between 18 and 45 years, randomly conducted three protocols: with the platform on (POG), the platform off (POFFG) and control group (CG). Each protocol began with a five minute warm-up on the ergonomic bicycle, with loads ranging from 75 to 100 watts and 70 rotations per minute, followed by six sets of 10 unilateral squats with one minute of pause between them, with or without mechanical vibrating, and finished with the Work Test, performed only on the dominant leg for determination of the physical valences: work, strength, power and speed. RESULTS: Only the variable speed has presented statistically significant difference (p < 0.05) when the platform on was compared to the control. CONCLUSION: The training on the vibration platform had no influence on the work or muscle power variables, but it exerted negative influence on the movement velocity causing fatigue in the quadriceps muscles.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)O feminismo desconstruindo e re-construindo o conhecimento(Centro de Filosofia e Ciências Humanas e Centro de Comunicação e Expressão da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, 2008-04-01) Oliveira, Eleonora Menicucci de [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)In this paper I briefly describe some examples of observations I made, while involved in a health care research project, of situations faced by women. The purpose of the exercise was to emphasize the need for an interaction(dialogue)between knowledge, health care practice and feminism. I also discuss some aspects of the interaction(dialogue) between epistemology and feminism in the light of the work of Bachelard as opposed to the views of Dorothy Smith, Alison Jaggar, Susan Bordo, Gayle Rubin and Teresita de Barbieri. Lastly, I attempt a synthesis of what I consider to be the major epistemological ruptures promoted by feminism concerning mainly language and work.

This study was conducted on a qualitative approach, using the semi-structured interview. Construction workers were interviewed in São Carlos, São Paulo state (Brazil) and the interviews were taped and transcribed in order to recover the completeness of the testimony, and the data analyzed in thematic units. The results show that the work in construction is a family need to respondents seeking extra earnings necessary to maintain the same financial conditions before retirement. Given the low educational level of respondents, this sector was one of the few remaining options on labour market exclusion
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Inclusão de jovens com deficiência no mundo do trabalho: análise da participação familiar(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2015-04-29) Manaia, Marilia Di Vito [UNIFESP]; Acosta, Ana Rojas [UNIFESP]; http://lattes.cnpq.br/4140547211703368; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)The work has been seen as a necessary condition for subsistence of man and also as an important element of production. Throughout history, people with disabilities were excluded from labor field, since society understands that due to physical, sensory and / or mental conditions, those people need assistance and were not able to produce. Regarding people with intellectual disabilities, they have a small percentage of participation in the labor market compared to the other disabilities. When the 8213 Act was designed in 1991, called then Quota Law, the state started to ensure the hiring of those people through quotas. From some professional experience, it is realized young people with intellectual disabilities often live in over-protected family environments which interfere in the acquisition of independence and autonomy. It is understood that this immaturity may be a complicating factor in the integration in the labor market. From this point of view, it is understood that the family has an important role and support to people with intellectual disabilities. This study aimed to analyze the participation of families of young people and adults with intellectual disabilities during the process of inclusion in the world of work which is part of the ?Being Efficient Program in Centro Espírita Beneficente (CEB) "July 30", located in the City of Santos. It was used a methodology based on the case study and the sample chosen were the families who participate in the Program for more than a year, from 2010 to 2013. The survey was conducted through the records of young people / adults in order to identify them. After this survey, we selected four families of young people who are in the inclusion criteria. A qualitative study was conducted through the narratives of families for the inclusion process in the labor market. It was used the speech analysis to evaluate the material collected. The results showed that two out of four families interviewed delegate to the institution the care of their children, being absent of this process and the other two are aware of the child's needs, follow up and assist in this process, taking the responsibility to themselves. In this sense, it was observed that young people and adults with intellectual disabilities, when followed up by the family, mature faster, though within their limits. In order to increase family participation in this process, it was proposed the creation of spaces for discussion and reflection in groups targeting issues related to overprotection, infantilization and achievement of the autonomy in the world of work.

- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Qualidade de vida n(d)o trabalho: um conceito político e polissêmico(Fundação Oswaldo Cruz, Escola Politécnica de Saúde Joaquim Venâncio, 2009-11-01) Lacaz, Francisco Antonio de Castro [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)In this paper we aim to draw attention to the historicity and the polysemy of the concept of Quality of Life at (of) work (QWL), or rather, Quality of Work (QW) and its political nature, as it involves contradictory class interests, with the idea of placing it at a level of discussion that questions the 'clinical' approach commonly adopted by capital and that designates individuals´ change of' habits as the main strategy. Thus, the discussion shifts to the category 'control' over the work processes in the point of view of workers' collectives allowing a relation between the concept and the notion that achieving QWL involves a political struggle that is originates from the correlation of the capital-labor strengths in concrete societies. In this sense, even if it is deemed incompatible to think of QWL as a reality of precarious work (and rights), this article advocates that the introduction of another 'vision' concerning this issue, which also has a strong political and counter-hegemonic character, can contribute to addressing the 'speech' and the skills that come along with it, the ones which are defended as being 'the' model approach of QWL by businesses and the intellectuals from the academy that advise them.
- ItemSomente MetadadadosQualidade de vida no trabalho na perspectiva dos servidores técnico-administrativos do campus São Paulo da Universidade Federal de São Paulo(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2015-11-30) Oliveira, Marcia Grijol de [UNIFESP]; Gerab, Irani Ferreira da Silva Gerab [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Introduction: In general the constant changes in the workplace have led workers to a number of challenges that interfere with their quality of working life (QWL). Objective: The aim of this study was to identify and analyze the Quality of Working Life (QWL) of technical and administrative staff in the administrative area at the campus of the Universidade Federal de São Paulo- UNIFESP. Methods: The research was developed in two phases: first, we used the validated questionnaire QWLQ-78 (Quality of Working Life Questionnaire) to assess the quality of working life of 114 employees. Based on the results from the questionnaire, a semi-structured interview was applied with a sample of 10 workers guided by the following principles: (1) design QWL, (2) discussion of the results of Phase I, (3) participation in QWL activities, (4) suggestions for improving institutional QWL. A pretest of the interview was conducted with a sample of technical and administrative employees in order to improve it. The questionnaire data were statistically analyzed. The interviews were analyzed by content analysis. Results: The quality of working life of the administrative technical employees at the Unifesp was considered satisfactory. Most of the respondents were surprised at this result, particularly by realizing lack of motivation among colleagues. Several refer not participate in QWL programs by ignoring the existence of this program at the university, although some isolated initiatives occur. Most identified the QWL with working conditions, emphasizing the need for gymnastics, and also a more effective health service. They also emphasize the importance of training programs and they are pride of their profession. A technical report for management of the Campus São Paulo resulted as a product of this study. Conclusion: It´s necessary to establish actions and/or AVT program applicable to the context of these employees; such as: changes in training, improved working condictions, investment in health care worker among others. This work had the final product a technical report to be presented to the management of campus São Paulo.

- ItemSomente MetadadadosTrabalho do enfermeiro na atenção primária à saúde no Brasil: recortes históricos e desafios profissionais(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2013-12-20) Ximenes Neto, Francisco Rosemiro Guimaraes [UNIFESP]; Cunha, Isabel Cristina Kowal Olm Cunha [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP)Nursing, since 1920, has been developing important role in the Brazilian Public Health, especially in Primary Health Care (PHC). As the Unified Health System (SUS) started in the 1980s, the country was undergoing an intense process of decentralization of policies, programs, projects, services and health actions, PHC was one of the priority attention. Thus, the Ministry of Health has institutionalized policies such as Community Agent Health Strategy in 1991, and the Family Health Strategy (FHS), created in 1994 with the designation of the Family Health Program (FHP), in which the nurse receives a new strategic role. The study aimed to analyze the process of nursing work in the PHC in light of the Brazilian Health Policies from SUS, based on a documented research, analytical and critical, with historical and interpretation recovery of information based on logic dialectic, developed during the period of April to November 2013, using five institutional documents of the Ministry of Health, in the light of the analysis of referential context of Souza (2001), which examines the events, scenarios, actors, force and structures relationships after being referred to the content analysis of Minayo (2008), which derived the following category of results: Conjunctures of the Nursing work in the FHS. Events and structures that showed potent symbolism for the work of nurses in PHC were: the creation of the PSF in 1994 as decentralization strategy of the Brazilian PHC; the strengthening of health decentralization, with the institutionalization of the Basic Health Tread funding via FHP, by Basic Operational Norm-SUS 01/1996, augmented with Operational Norm for Health Care-SUS 01/2001, which led to the consolidation and expansion of PHC and internalization of the labor market in Health and Nursing; improving indicators and the rapid growth in the number of PSF teams throughout the country, as institutionalization reason of it as policy, the FHS in 1997; the revitalization and strengthening of FHS with National Primary Care Policy. Scenarios where the health production development of nurses in the PHC occurring are: in the territory, in the community, at home and at Basic Health Unit, having focus on care of the family and individuals. Actors that influence the nursing work environment at PHC depend on the organization of the work process, whether individual (physicians, nursing assistants and CHA) or collective (multidisciplinary team, with minimal staff, Oral Health of CHA among others. The main actors/elements that mediate the forces in the field of practice with FHS nurses are community, the established local culture, local political power, the Municipal health Management, the pyramidal system model of health organization, health workers team, which exercises also strong social and technical work, among other. The working process of nurses in PHC is socially determined, influenced by instituted and instituting health policies and the territorialized political scene.
