Through a comprehensive literature review, a gap in the literature on the core of this article was identified. By delving into two specific studies, the intrinsic role of personal narratives in transforming individuals into protagonists of their own stories was explored. This endeavor aimed to understand how such accounts could influence self-perceptions and engagement with environmental issues. Drawing inspiration from Marshall Ganz's work on the power of stories in social movements, and Ana Tereza Camasmie's exploration of the intersection between personal narratives and philosopher Hannah Arendt's thoughts on statements about historical-social events, a journalistic action plan for environmental education was proposed. This plan consists of four stages: the collection and selection of personal stories anchored in climate change, the creation of engaging narratives driving empathy and reflection, the dissemination of these narratives through appropriate media platforms, and the subsequent evaluation of the impact of these stories on awareness and the fostering of collective actions towards climate change. The conclusion supports the notion that personal stories emerge as essential means for awareness and mobilization in the context of climate change. However, it underscores the necessity of strategically exploring how these narratives can be employed to foster a deeper understanding of the subject and to catalyze collective actions, thus paving the way toward a sustainable future.
