    Casa Guilherme De Almeida: A Fabricação De Um Museu-Casa (1969-1979)

    This Study Analyzes The Trajectory To Create The Historic House Museum Which Honors The Writer Guilherme De Almeida (1890-1969), Through The Process Of Musealization Imposed On The Property That Served As Residence For His Family For About Twenty-Three Years. Almeida Was An Important Brazilian Writer Who Worked During The 20th Century, With Intense Literary Production, Which Includes Poems, Translations, Cinematographic Critiques And Social Chronicles. During The 1970s, After His Death In His Residence, Political Agents Such As The Governors Roberto De Abreu Sodré (1917-1999), Laudo Natel (1920), And Paulo Egydio Martins (1928) Continued The Process That He Musealized The Property And Culminated In The Founding Of Casa Guilherme De Almeida In 1979. Thus, The Main Objective Of This Work Is To Identify The Factors That Triggered The Choice Of The Historical Character Guilherme De Almeida For This Public Homage

    This paper has as objective to analyze the long-term exhibition of the Historic Museum of Japanese Immigration in Brazil, located in the city of São Paulo, on Liberdade district, in the attempt to comprehend the meanings and the intentionality that composes the current expographic proposal presented on that institution. The musealization of social phenomenons – which from a theoretical point of view can’t be reached – but is something chased by many curatorial proposals, implies to the comprehension of a series of factors that involves elements such as: choices, conservation, documentation and communication of institutes of memory considered important on the rol of elements that composes the cultural heritage of a collectivity. Thus, is fundamental to have in mind that immigration’s musealization is not secluded of these processes.
