- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Mulheres e a construção do conhecimento: uma proposta de ensino por meio de uma sequência de atividade temática com abordagem histórica da ciência para o tema DNA(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2020-05-04) Pereira, Helen Wanderley Fernandes [UNIFESP]; Martorano, Simone Alves de Assis [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São PauloThe lack of discussion about the participation of women in science in the classroom has been pointed out as one of the reasons that perpetuates the male vision of scientists that students have. Many authors argue that this male stereotype of a scientist has led women away from their scientific careers, making necessary actions that seek to take the discussion to schools. In this regard, the History of Science approach proved to be interesting, as it allows retrieving the stories of women who participated in the construction of scientific knowledge, in addition to allowing a reflection on aspects of the nature of science, which could transform the view of male science in students. Given this scenario, this research proposes a SAT (Thematic Activity Sequence) using the controversial historical episode of the discovery of the DNA double helix, which was attended by scientist Rosalind Franklin. The proposal has a support text for the teacher and the lesson plan, with the description of activities such as videos, text, timeline, game and simulated jury, in addition to guidance for the teacher. After the preparation of the SAT, an analysis of it was carried out following the parameters proposed by Forato (2009) for teaching materials that use the History of Science.
- ItemAcesso aberto (Open Access)Mulheres na física: representações sociais de licenciandos e docentes em física no Brasil(Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP), 2020-01-24) Fernandes, Rubia De Fatima Antunes Martins [UNIFESP]; Testoni, Leonardo Andre [UNIFESP]; Universidade Federal de São PauloAlthough female participation has grown in many areas of science, in physics it is still quite scarce. Through studies on gender and science, it has been possible to focus on the study of institutional barriers, with explicit prohibitions on the admission of women into scientific and ideological environments, with theories and stereotypes supporting women's intellectual inferiority, which still move women away from the sciences. This master thesis aimed at identifying the possible social representation of the term 'scientist' and 'female scientist' among teachers and future physics teachers from all regions of Brazil, creating a Vergès quadrant for each of the terms. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire based on the structural approach, using free word association as a technique to list the terms. The data processing was carried out through the EVOCATION 2005 software, which provides four quadrants where we can locate the probable central core and peripheral system of the social representation. In a complementary way, we performed the similarity analysis through the IRAMUTEQ software to give more support to the terms found for the central core. We believe that this kind of research is important with (future) teachers since, in classrooms, they can propagate their discourses directly or indirectly , and it is a scenario that can contribute to the perpetuation of the androcentric pattern of sciences and the maintenance of the dynamics established between genders.
