    Background: Diabetes Mellitus Is A Chronic Non-Communicable Disease And Is One Of The Leading Causes Of Death Worldwide. Type 2 Diabetes, A Subclass Of Diabetes Mellitus, Is A Metabolic Disorder Resulting From A Progressive Insulin Secretion Defect On The Background Of Insulin Resistance, A Consequence Of Which Is Chronic Hyperglycemia, Which Causes Disturbances In The Metabolism Of Carbohydrates, Fats And Proteins. Objective: To Evaluate The Effectiveness Of Mulberry For Treatment Of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Methods: Cochrane Systematic Review Of Randomized Controlled Trials. The Electronic Databases Used Were: The Cochrane Library, Medline, Embase, Lilacs, With A Search Conducted Until July 2017. Results: Two Rcts Comparing Mulberry Extract Versus Placebo Intervention, One Rct Mulberry Extract Versus Drugs, And One Rct Mulberry Extract Versus Herbal Preparation In Type 2 Diabetic Patients Were Included, Totaling 119 Patients Aged 40-62 Years, With 0 % To 67% Of Women In All Four Studies. In The Endpoint Gl
