    Paisagismo Socioambiental nos Parques Urbanos de São Paulo: A Utilização do Mapeamento Digital e da Etnobotânica na Educação Ambiental

    Urban open spaces, with their streets, squares, parks, act as a primordial element to integrate and relate the built spaces, therefore re-signifying and inciting the use of these spaces is one of the great intentions of the urban landscape project. Thus, this article explores urban landscaping beyond the ornamental values of plant species, highlighting their socio-environmental relationships. Starting from the presentation of the municipal urban parks of São Paulo, it is expected to contribute to the broadening of the vision about urban parks, for their use as catalytic environments of environmental education. The selection and presentation of the baobab (Adansonia digitata) located in the Manequinho Lopes Nursery in Ibirapuera Park, emphasize the main objective of the research to understand how elements of ethnobotany can be used in a collective appropriation of urban green areas. The digital mapping of these areas was used as a tool for connecting information from the municipal scale of the parks to the local scale of the plant species. These themes presented accentuate the need to preserve nature, create educational spaces and value the relationship between culture and nature even in urban spaces.
